I loved how the whole Seattle 89 performance Kirk done all the solos completely flawless and Lars does perfect double bass, James' has great vocals, and well Jason plays incredible as he always has.

@krobi94 To be fair, considering today's music, the fart I just released a few minutes ago is better. St. Anger was shit - I suppose all/most bands go through a "weird" music phase though. Let's just hope Metallica come back to whom they're supposed to be. Maiden and Priest went through similar 'weird' phrases too - but their latest releases, whilst they will never really compare to their vintage stuff, are still very good pieces.

i don't know. but ever since cliff died, it seems that metallica went away from all the thrash they played before and it kinda has been worse. jason and cliff had different styles and both of them influenced the whole music in the album. i think if cliff hadn't died, there would have been a more of a master of puppets-like album.

jason is still a very good bassist and ...and justice for all is a good album, but i think it would have been better if it was more thrashy-like

Jason actually had little say in the music, Same with Kirk. It was mostly Just James and Lars writting the music. Im not saying Jason is bad though, AJFA Is MY favorite MetallicA album but i still think Cliff was better.

@scottwill19 i doubt the ex-bassist of Flotsam and Jetsam would single-handedly change their style of music...i doubt he would change it at all...And Justice For All and the Black Album were only 2/6 of their best work and Jason was in the band...the only reason why they changed their sound is because of Bob Rock. personally, i'm not a huge fan of Death Magnetic, but when you look at St. Anger and ReLoad, Death Magnetic is a step in the right direction. it's exactly what they needed.
