  • I enjoyed watching this video. You "teach" not just talk. I have grown up hunting all of my life, spent 6 years in the USMC and still enjoyed watching your video. Thanks for posting!

  • I like the talk as much as the shooting. Keep up the great work.

  • you have a nice voice

a voice you hear on tv

the story at the start made me sad

  • great vids, great insight, true knowledge. i wish u the best of luck in everything that u do old man.

  • you have a nice voice, no homo XD

  • Please continue talking. The information is relevant.

  • Hello from france . You have a good voice and commentaries can be understood by no-english mother tongue people .

I europe we have 2 things less :

Less space for shooting and we shoot from top to down for security and we badly need of a 2nd amendment ...

    We'll never have .

  • you are good at talking.. your voice isint like a little kids... its good

  • keep up the talkin' brother!! nice shootin' and great vids

  • You make nice vids man. Keep it up

  • not for nothing, your talking aint bad at all, you are teaching

great vid hope ya make more

  • There are several available or you can try to strike out on your own and build it from a blank of wood. The most fun I think, but it takes alot of time to cut it down just right. BUT, you get to make it JUST RIGHT for your fit. And you can make the wood beautifull. A double set trigger as well, again though , thats my preference and you will find your own. I would also find a black powder club in your area, Ill bet there is one and they will have alot of parts and info at the ready for you!

  • I've been going thru the "Track of the Wolf" catalog, making up a wish list. I'd already picked out a Green Mountain barrel. The Model 70 in "Winchester Rifles Part 2" is a custom stock and the Rem 597 in "Austins Birthday" is scratch built. I enjoy working on them as well as firing them. As far as powder goes, as I only use the inline now, charged with 777 FFG. I guess that will have to change when I build the flintlock pistol.

  • Wow, Guess not! Okay.

I would reccomend building your gun with a Green Mountain barrel and components. Im a big fan. With your Flint lock are you using FFFF powder in the lock? FFF in the barrel and FFFF in the lock. As far as the delayed ignition, a larger (or sometimes cleaner) port with a bigger cap and nipple on a good barrel will fix that. I also use a round ball with patch 99% of the time and I find it to be an accurate and reliable system. As far as kit guns...

  • Have any of my replies posted?

  • While I agree and disagree with you, I have to give you respect for the videos. They are done very well.

I shot percussion blackpowder for years as a kid at NMLRA events. I well made gun with good powder doesnt have "hangtime".

Other than that, I like what your doing and will continue tuning in!

  • What brand of gun and powder would you recommend? I've never seen a flintlock that didn't have enough hang time to unsettle somebody that grew up shooting cased ammo. The cap locks aren't as bad, but I still find it to be so. I've wanted to build a kit gun, that's the only thing holding me back.

  • great videos

  • thank you, good review!!i just have ordered an apex,i bought the .45 caliber ss model.

    Bill

  • if its made in Hartford CT its a COLT (or USFA) if its a winchester, it was made in NEW HAVEN!

  • You're absolutely right and I look like a fool!

Good call and my apologies to all those unemployed folks in New Haven.

    I screwed up.

  • Another great video!! Keep 'em comin'!

  • oh by the way nice parody at the end "will it blend" lmao that was funny

  • Where in the northest are you, im in Maine and we heard about that accident its sad really is to bad

  • nice comentary at the biggning im glad you put a lot of thought into what you do in your videos unlike some users. 5/5

  • nice vid...i like it better wen u talk and then shoot cause then i can actually learn a littel more about the guns

  • looks like it kicks like a mule

  • It's got a fair kick, but the recoil pad takes the edge off it.

It's not bad at all if you're used to shooting heavy firearms,

  • will it bled lol
