I believe so. If I remember right they all go to the military's school of language in Monterey for additional training.

No, they are not "SF" They are Civil Affairs soldiers. Civil Affairs is part of the Army Special Operations Command, but do not confuse them with Army Special Forces, your "Green Berets"

civil affairs is a great job but don't expect to learn much from the classes they give you, it's too much of a hands on job and the army just wants to teach it in power points
