Very nice song. But we find it very difficult to understand the lyrics. Wud be grateful if the lyrics is posted. Awaiting to see. Janaki sounds so beautiful. Thanks.
A brilliant compositiion. Moving image of Andal's dream to marry none other than Lord Vishnu himself. Janaki's rendition is slightly loud. Currently reading Andal's Varanam Ayiram in its Tamil original. Flukely, googled to land up here to listen to this pasuram. Enjoyable.
When the temple's servants to Srirangam in Tiruchchirapalli, Tamil Nadu and informed the Lord that His request was accepted by Periyazhawar, the Lord was delighted. He rushed to Srivilliputthur surrounded by thousands of His elephants and His other retinue. There at the city gates, He found Periyazhawar standing up to greet Him and the citizens of Srivilliputthur. The Tamil saint-poetess Andal described this joyous scenes to her friend through this song.
