  • i think they're (especially peter) are still underestimated

  • uummm, to get a little deeper, hip action is not just produced with flexing of the knees, it is also produced with respect to body types. Therefore, all dancers may have similar OR very different hip actions (such as MELIA)......HENCE, when talking about professionals, there's really no point in arguing about personal style. I think they've been doing it long enough.

  • Hip Action is very important in Cha cha!!!!

  • Cha cha is about the straight legged action with hip action..otherwise it wouldnt be cha cha.. Its about playing with the rhythm and playing the rhythm through your body.. you obv dont know anything about latin dancing..

  • I really like Christina; I think her dancing is much more softer, classy and elegant than other other female. (This is besides the fact that she ripped off her dress here) They both just seem a little cold sometimes in their facial expressions...

  • Well perhaps you lack also fantasy.

    Where is the passion?

  • Allthough both are technical good dancers, she bettter than he, There's always the lack of inspiration with this couple. Seems they are missing any fantasy.

  • wait, what?! perhaps you missed them playing with the timing, their creative choreography, the musicality, how she's playing with his suspenders and shirt.

I think you have no idea what you're talking about.

  • @herrhals

All these things have been practised to no end. None of them are actually spontaneous. In competitions you always saw them do the same things time and time again. Only when they became professionals they had a little more spontaneous spark in their dancing but that disappeared somewhere along the line as well.

  • and yet you still replied, implying that you Still have an itch to get your words right up my face. perhaps you should focus now on yourself and whether you're going to continue this or not.

one thing's for sure. you're somewhat being too activist with the lack of hip motion in the presentation. must we even bother noticing that? if it were a competition it's even worth an insult, but apparently it's not.

    or you didn't notice parts 0:30 1:30 1:35

  • i wasn't even expecting that she did need more hip motion. because from what i noticed, it's Just a show dance

  • and that's exactly the point. you gave too much unnecessary commentaries that what was really needed to be said and heard was already blurred away by the more eye-catching remarks - the unimportant ones, as you seem to have explained it

  • nothing... i just seemed to have noticed this:

"should take a few class in how to be mature and more CLASSY"...

now who the hell needs that, really...

  • classy? now that's a requirement? now there's the "no wonder" why you're being called a jerk perhaps...

  • when they're in amateur they sucks...now they're- awesome,,,,

  • they weren't meant for amateur level, especially with their extra unique approach to dance as perceived through constant shift of places within the ranks when they were amateurs themselves.

  • So that the debate about their Hip Motion or Action is left, really, in the eye of the beholder and interpreter. Some Coaches emphasize hips above all else, emphasize thrusting, etc, while others travel down the path of not so much a lack of it but a softening...

I will say that technique wise, Peter and Kristina are among, if not THE, best. Their style was advanced a few years ago, "ahead of its time" (if such a phrase can be allowed) but now it fits well with all of the changes that occurred

  • It has been my experience that while the"Hip Motion" is at the basis of a "Latin" dance, the importance of its power and its, shall we say, "seeingability," is often determined by the time. For instance, take a look at the history of the Samba and you'll see that at one point it was all about the Bounce and Staccatto actions (almost jerky, if you will). In later years the style changed to a softer, more eloquent (shall we say) type... with it going back and forth every few years ever since.

  • they have nearly perfect technique and they dance what i would like to call ''true ballroom'' but i miss wild latin, kind of animalistic side of latin... as Bryan would say ''getting down and dirty with your partner'' XD

  • @7r4c3r

Uhmm.. Going down and dirty? ..

    0:10 yes?

  • Ok so i'll own up to having a filthy mouth, Now you own up to being a perceived expert. Jerk.

  • I have seen those fuckin videos already. I have had lessons with Beata so i know how she dances. You can call me a snob as much as you want but piss off with your stupid comments about swinging hips, is not even a technical term.

  • Oh my God you are not even a Gold dancer, I assume you mean medals. You know nothing, how dare you say they are just quite good, I am a competitor and i train with all the top champions so don;t start telling me about what is a strong hip action. And the term 'i have got dance in my soul' does not mean you have a right to dis respect dancers who are at the top of their game!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hi, so where is the problem, where do you rank in International Latin?

  • i just read in "Tanzspiegel", the official german dance-sports magazine, that their strength is the nearly perfect technique..

anyway, it's very nice to watch them dancing

  • what name of this song???please.............

  • "Relax Max" by Dinah Washington

  • the song?????????

  • love her hair now.

  • does anybody knows the name of the song or artist:)??

  • i dont think she looks like joanna now but really much more beautiful :)

  • nice performance-they look more fresh and free here!nice dress and coreographie as well!

  • now kristina's hairstyle looks like Joanna

  • but no way is she ever gonna do spins like joanna.

  • Who would want to? There is FAR more to dancing than just power, speed and lines . . . yawn . . .
