  • @hiitman2012 Aren't you ashamed from yourself? May Allah take away your ears, hands and all your senses. You do not deserve to live as a normal human being.

  • @hiitman2012 Fucking ape

  • bel fe3el el akh hani mezwe2 be kel el aghane thank you brother

  • simply i adore her .. each time i listen to this song i cry

    greeting from Palestine

  • In spite of that I do not understand a word from what that she sing, she? Sings pretty!

You are right.. The name of the song is "Take me back to my country". My country is Palestine. My parents, like others, were evicted from their village Tarshiha. If you were not born in the land that you name Israel, where were you born. were you evicted from your motherland like me?

  • @monamaria1995 i thought i'd respond to your comment bc it really made me feel sad - i cannot even *fathom* what it must be like to be evicted from one's home - one's land - truly barbaric. my parents are indian and most indians immigrated to N. America to find a better life~ and they did. so i can't imagine what your family must have gone through. horrible situation, though i'm not political, i wish the world knew of the human' faces of the palestinian fight.. lovely song,. take care

  • I have no words to describe fairoz and this song of hers! She made me cry while listening to this song!!!

  • I close my eyes, Listen to you my Great Lady, and I'm already there...

I go back every day...My soul travels over continents and oceans to float happily in my childhood village...

and I see myself, running across blooming almond trees, under a clear blue sky, riding my bicycle on its narrow streets...

I miss you my Lebanon, I miss myself when I was there...Thank you fairuz, my angel for reminding me of who I am every day...

  • bihbik ya arzé libnan ya sout algherbé ya sout alhanin ,FAIROUZ =LIBNAN O LIBNAN=FAIROUZ JE TE SOUHAITE TOUL AL3OUMOR

  • I am speechless after this song,,,

  • I don't understand the language, but I didn't need to, to be moved by her very lovely voice. So very nice.

  • @uradragon It says "send me back to my country....." It is basically longing to be back where she came from. It's a song for all those who had left their country during the civil war. Very touching

  • There will never be an other Fairouz.. that was god's unique gift to us all.

  • She touches the deepest fiber of your soul, It does not matter that you dont understand what she is talking about....She is genial...Her voice is like a ecco of angels whispering on your ear...

  • i lack the soul necessary to comment

  • Take me back Home, with the breeze of departures,

With a seducing beam at beach, and valley,

    Take me back Home,

Once you came to take me, but I was already wilted, because Im far away from Home,

So, threw me on the banks of my beautiful childhood,

My Homes river full of goodness as the hands of those who I love,

I still loyal to them, and my loyalty is the only thing left to me,

Love me all the love until my heart flood of love,

Lily flower I am, smash and strew me on the sand of my country,

  • Comment removed

  • This is so beautiful, I'd really like to know the lyrics in English. Help?

  • @560922312bristol

Its quite difficult to translate them with my poor English but I gave it a try !

  • Hi I am trying to find greatest Lebanese musicians of Music History for Music Magazine, My list:

    Swing: Paul Anka

    Pop: Magida El Roumi

    Modern Classical: Gabriel Yared

Jazz Fusion: Marcel Khalife,Rabih Abou-Khalil,Ziad Rahbani

    Folk Pop: Fairouz,Rahbani Brothers,Najwa Karam

    Folk:Wadih El Safi

Can you help me please? My list is good enough? Any advice?

  • But Fairuz sang so many styles. Not just pop. She is not on the same level as Najwa Karam or Majida Roumi. Way beyond in terms of repertoise, variety of styles and longevity of carreer.

  • which genre I should choose for her if so? I need to classify

  • Zaki Nassif

    salim sahab

    filimoun wehbe

and tehre are some famous opera singers , such as kawas.. do more research :)

  • Folk: Sabah as well

I suggest you add Assi Hellani, Wael Kfoury, Yara, Melhim Zein somewhere in that list...

  • Feyrouz wasLebanese and the most recognized voice in the Middle East, she mainly sang many nationalistic songs (without hate, she always mentioned "my country", nothing more). Beautiful. By the way her husband was a musician/ composer. Love

  • Yes Lebanese, but loved by all Arabs. In addition to nationalist songs, she sang about love, child hood memories and much more. She is a tresure

  • i adore you fayruzaa

  • Surprised how much hate is posted here

In Israel for instance people listen to her with respect even though she, A lebanese (like all Lebanese the level of knowledge very shallow) has a lot to say about Israel etc.

In fact - good to see it, this fire of hatered will burn those who use it! pitty, could be different!

  • Well i doubt if they respect an arabian (your dogs) as one of the member said we do not hate people but you took our country think about it....

  • saying it all the time wont make it a fact

It is our country far before you were even born

    but I understand you

maybe you join those who miss HItler I have seen this also here

    or some other hateful comments

  • Amazing voice!

  • Eventhough i don´t understand the words, I love her voice. would someone to be so kind to write the words and translation for me? Shukra!!!

  • hard to translate the whole thing but the main pt of the song is : take me back to my country I am so tired of being so far away...

  • it is ridiculous posting hateful comments under this lovely music. Gee, Fairuz should have projected on a large screen behind her old footage of jews gassed at Aushwitz. That, i am sure, would have brought the audience to their feet!

  • Fairuz and politics do not match BUT don't bring the name of Israel here beause I am about to VOMIT...the most represive regim/country on the face of planet..mere existance Israel is the cause of many problems in the world today.

  • I am Polynesian and I love Fairuz. I picked up a tape while I was in Israel with my Israeli friend; we both love Fairuz.

And yes, many Israeli's support the Palestinians right to self determination and freedom.

ISRAEL MUST MAKE PEACE WITH PALESTINE!

  • respect gerat wonderwomen!

  • Fairuz you are the queen of the Arabic singers, you managed to thrill my ears again with your indigenous song. Reminded me of unforgotten rich culture I strive to maintain. You are the emblem of respect and pride. I'm your fan for life. Too bad that lately we drifted to salute the contemporary singers with their usual rigmarole.
