  • Eps 16 plus my first sampler

  • love this guy , such a gear geek. seems sooo down to earth !

  • 5%ers say black man is god ...fair play but i say the rza is god ..rip odb wu tang forever.peace

  • whats that stupid hair cut

  • he breathes hip-hop. in his blood. talks about hip-hop like how some of the jazz greats talk about experimenting, collaboration w/ dudes that became great themselves, plus all the trial and error etc... being ahead of the technology and tools that are available... So he had to innovate. irony is he brought the debut a.k.a. 36 chambers out as an abstract, retro-minimal album, then added on from there up. if you missed that sequence you missed a FULL hip-hop course... SMART DUDE!!! PERIOD!!

  • Damn i'm gay for RZA LOL

  • Asr10. I'm convinced I need one. Blockhead, Rza, and soon me will be users of this piece of equipment.

  • dude is a genius... no i mean really, he is.

  • cool interview, interesting shit. check out the video response, loads of the original samples he used mixed into a beat

  • nice iview

  • It's amazing how the Rza not only remembers the years, but remembers all makes and model numbers of all his equipment dating back to the 80's. IMO Rza's music IQ is understated. He doesn't get tremendous mainstream credit for his talents. Rza was one of the best for that time period when Wu-Tang couldn't be touched. Nowadays I think Rza is doin some movie scoring and not a whole lot of hip hop producing.

  • that man is the reason i was stoked when i got my eps a few months ago at the trift store..for 20 bucks!!!!! and at the same time 36 chambers has become one of my favorite records.. i liked it whren it came out, but it took til i had the tool in my had that i really appreciated.. i know it's a pretentious term, but the sort of things he's done with it are as much "Musique concrète" as they are "hip hop" if not more.

  • @williebuyoff

He gets his props where its needed...i understand what your saying but this dude gets offers left and right from major labels....he doesnt need em....he can do it on his own.....21 million records sold some platinum some gold some put out just to meet the tax cold.....naddamean.........

  • @williebuyoff

Thats the thing, Hollywood wanted this cat, Thats proof enough

  • MY GOD... he has his headband on the right way round!

  • wheres marley marl in all this debate :S

  • Eric b never did a beat, scratch or anything on any of the rakim albums.. he just paid for the studio time.. how u guys dont know that is beyond me.. whoever said that needs to be shot..

  • nah brah u crazy timbo?? he is sick but to mee he aint one of the best producers im talking about real hip-hop here b

  • timbo kanye are good but you cant compare them to RZA and PREMO these guys have done more for hip hop and music than any one else i think there is not #1 its RZA and PREMO no one else not even DRE

  • true fuck Timbo but Dre aint done shit in 10yrs LOL RZA is a mad Man

  • i couldn't have said it better myself. i'm cool with dr dre but i can't even put him in the same category that i put rza and premo in.

  • @lordjubei30 Amen brother.

  • @lordjubei30 lol yeah i think RZA is better than Dre ,but you need to listen to old Dre beats listen to 2Pac-Cant C me, Dre - lil' ghetto boy, Dre - Keep Their Heads Ringin', or even the whole Straight Outta Compton Album

  • Timbaland steals shit. Straight up theft, you can't be having him up there.

  • bloody mainstream noob....

    the world is dumb

  • Word, timbaland is good too

  • timbo is

    whack

  • where's pete rock? j dilla?

  • hip hop's best producer!

  • yo i feel this video i came from the same era had the dr rhythm,525 626 808 909 mc 303 ect ensoniq the whole smash , i think rza is top shelf as is most true hiphop producers

  • don't even catch me when I'm blunted. rhyme star runnin like loops on an SP1200

  • haaaaaa i wish i was born in the early 70's makin that dope beats in the golden age of HIP HOP

  • oh yeah i thought the same while watchin the video

  • hahhaa! he said the real cipha sounds.

  • I don't believe he meant it as a diss though. Maybe he coulda said the "original" cipha sounds, but still kinda funny tho
