I like the graphics and stuff in paper mario. and i love Mario games but its a shame i cant love paper mario because i do not like the whole reading and finding out all the stuff he can do and constant pause use! Its not that i'm lazy, it just interupts game play so much that I get over the game. Back then Mario was all about the action. its a shame! Paper Mario looks like eye candy. if only it was more basic as the classics

Still. I don't like rpg style games or too much text to read and learn in games. It kills the adventure. I havent even wanted to dedicate time to Paper Mario 64 because of it. I hated the whole "do you want to punch the enemy? press A, stomp the enemy? press B throw something at the enemy? press C" it was stupid sorry. And I got it because I loved the look of it and I liked Mario games. Now I want this game but I know I won't ever dedicate time for it to beat it through.

I'm sorry that you didn't understand what I wrote. Super Mario RPG is better because it is an actual RPG. Super Paper Mario turned out to just be a platformer with a story.

They used the same name 'Super Mario' in Super Mario RPG, and they changed the franchise significantly by making it an RPG instead of a platformer. People liked it. But they did the exact same thing, same name but different gameplay, but that makes it different from Super Mario RPG somehow. I understand if you don't like it, but not liking it because of name is pointless.

Unless the RPG elements kick in like 7 hours into the game, there's no leveling up or choosing skills (like badges). The first two Paper Mario games are RPGs while the third isn't. I prefer Super Mario RPG over all three though as I prefer having multiple chars.

You COULD just not think of it as a Paper Mario games. Super Paper Mario is so much different from the other two, it doesn't fit in to the series as well, but it's a superb game on it's own right.
