I love them all, but I just hope one day, people stop begin a god. It is rather sad that they are raised to be sold. They are not human's toy.

I think it is wonderful that Rita named Sugar. We personally LOVE the name, and it does fit her. Some of our 3 dogs were named by their breeders/families before they came to live with us. One of the names we kept, one we changed. No worries. It just means that these babies are all truly loved by each family that raises them! :)

One thing that boggles my mind..if you sell the birds why in the WORLD would you name them? ?? ?? The 2 bird breeders we get birds from never name the birds and that's how it should be.

I'm just asking because I've never heard anyone that sells pets name them.

I'm not just "anyone who sells pets". I have a few baby parrots each year and I raise them as if they were going to be our own pets. Most of my babies are sold before they are weaned. As they are weaning their new families usually name them....and I call them by their names in the videos. Sugar has been weaned for a few weeks, and I thought that she needed a name and Sugar fit her personality. Her new family is welcome to change her name if they wish.

Thank you for sharing you opinion on "how it should be" However, I have to disagree with you. I have purchased birds from reputable big breeders, but after purchasing from Rita, I would NEVER go back. I named my baby Jezebel, Rita called her by her name when she hatched. She emailed pictures and videos weekly. I got to watch my baby from the day she hatched. I felt as if I knew her for 3 months when I picked her up. It wasn't like that with my other Caiques that I got from the big breeders.

Mango and I will miss sugar and jenny and wish them the best. but we know there will be more babies on the way to watch them play and grow.  The babies at your house are sooooooo sweet and gentle and loveable. and non skids is right about the epidemic!

Oh you will definitely get to follow Sugar as she grows up. We will be posting lots of videos! And I did see her beaking your fingers. She is too funny! Now that she will be a younger sister (by a month), I wonder if she will let Kiwi "mother" her? LOL!

Oh Rita, what a great, and adorable video! It is so fun to see how loving Sugar is! We can't wait to bring her home on Friday! Kiwi watched about 1/2 of the video with great intensity! I know they are going to make great sisters! We are all so excited for Friday!

I am glad you liked it Patter!! I can't wait to hear how Sugar does as she grows up. She really does amaze me how caring she is. Did you see in the vid how she was beaking my fingers as I preened the youngest baby....as if to make sure I was being gentle. And, I could swear she was protecting the little female from falling off the edge in the middle of the vid. Thanks again!!! I'm glad Kiwi watched also.
