your word ardeal came from the Hungarian Erdély/Erdőelve which means before the forest, what does ardeal mean in rumaian? I think nothing and one more thing, sibiu (szeben/nagyszeben) was established by II. Géza Hungarian king in the XII. century and he settled saxons there, the orthodox church was built in the XX. century while the chalvinist church in the XVIII. century, you see the difference? you have nothing own in Erdély, everything is Hungarian and saxon there

Herrmannstadt was a saxon city for 800 years. The Saxons were invited here by the Hungarian King Geza to protect the southern boundaries of Hungary. Over the centuries they built a magnificient city.
