  • Dinesh does not know the facts and I'm not sure who told him he was a SME on this subject her has no clue. People come to America to seek freedom and social services that they can't find anywhere else. He is from India and India is the most corrupt countryon this planet and he find his way to America. What is talking about you have no idea what he is talking about.

  • Dinesh does not know the facts and I'm not sure who told he is a SME on this subject her has no clue.

  • This is exactly why you don't listen to religious lunatics...

i really don't get where you all muster the tireless "u.s.a." chants.

it only shows how clueless you are about your surroundings...

  • Wrong Dinesh! If as part of an international war effort abroad, either India or China accidentally killed two hundred of it's own people, both countries respectively would be subject to the same type of domestic and international criticism as America, if not more so, thanks to even more ingrained nationalism at home and public scrutiny by the world. Saying that America is held to a higher moral standard then everyone else is rubbish.

  • @ozbandit Oh yea what about the great leap forward!?!? "If as part of an international war effort abroad, either India or China accidentally killed two hundred of it's own people." Two hundred how about 2 million. Who cares about the UN anyways? It is full of globalists, socialists, and bullshit.

  • @stonergeo33 just the type of reply I would expect from anyone blind enough to miss the obvious logical fallacy presented by Dinesh, I've been the China and seen how the people perceive the government and I know that internal image means everything to the people in power. Just look at how much more efficient the Chinese were at mobilizing internal support and aid for the most recent major earthquake affected people as opposed to the incompetence of the US Government in dealing with Katrina....

  • He is right i am from south America and i would of lived a really fucked up life if i didnt come to this great country called America i would of been forced to be in a crooked mafia drug military or be raised by gangs and i didnt know who my parrents were i was left at a orphanage. I thank GOD everyday for new parrents and great life and opportunity i have in the USA and alot of people take living here for granite!!!

  • I think well educated Indians should stop going to America for two reasons:

!)Help yourown country first, then look for other countries.

2)The Americans are complaining the job drain, They might not be liking it. (so don't go there but instead search for opportunity here)

  • where did he said anything idiotic? Can you point out? You can not ? then you are an idiot..

  • Amen to that! Those idiots are only attempting to rationalize their own immorality... Dinesh is one of the greatest thinkers (both politically and religiously) of our time. His books so far have been most excellent. I'd recommend "What's so Great about America," "What's so Great about Christianity," his biography on Reagan, "Life After Death: The Evidence," and so on.

  • @frzbeachsk8... I dont know when there will be an end to all this twisted idiocy ..where the great and most importantly a good country as USA is (not to say that it has not made mistakes) --will stop being considered by a portion of its own citizens as a semi-evil or even evil country...but it will

  • @frzbeachsk8...#2: but it is very good and important that there are authors like D'Souza..I will look up his books you have mentioned ..thank you

  • I always have appreciated open mindedness, of course with tentative caution ; ) You will not be disapointed. He is a great author and really has a great way of pulling you into his read. He is balanced, giving both sides, but of course at the end he gives you his formulation of where he stands on any paticular issue or person. His greatest tactic is reason. Even his arch rival Hitchens reads his books and, though he may disagree, also respects Dinesh fully as a writer.

  • It would have been nice to have seen the other participants' view.

  • Comment removed

  • he is talking about america here.

  • dinesh dsouza is brillaint

  • Only if by "brilliant" you mean "total douche".

  • I don't like him, but I agree with what he said here. He must have had a moment of clarity.

  • It's also sad that there are so many so-called "Christians" who want to see all Muslims killed, too. Despite Christ's teachings of love, mercy, forgiveness, and turn the other cheek, most "Christians" today completely express the exact opposite Satanic "values".

  • Produce one name of a 'Christian' who is on record as saying that.

  • Dinesh is a realist, we need more people like him! God, how I wish he could run for presidency against Obama in 2012.

  • He is bright but not a leader I think. He is a good consol for presidencys thou. And he was to Ragen. A fruit needs to be in the right element to grow.

  • Ignorant young people Dinesh! Ignorant desperate young people who don't perhaps know that Uncle Sam is probably mainly responsible for their misery. They're the ones whom Uncle Sam's appealing to. and islamic or third world societies ought not to have their own democratically elected governments toppled by the all mighty Uncle Sam simply because of their" telling a son who to marry"...your inability to realise that Uncle Sam has insantiable materialistic greed is terrifying.

  • As much as I like Gore Vidal, he is way too pessimistic about the US. Dinesh is absolutely right. For example, the Vietnam war a lot of people think of the US in terms of the My Lai Massacre, but no one thinks about the thousands of Vietnamese saved in air evacuations at Saigon in 1975.

  • I cannot agree more. My father served with the Air Cavalry from 65/69. He rarely talks about it, but when the talk comes to our military's public image at the time, it was almost never anything positive, only negative. GOD BLESS ALL VIETNAM VETERANS

  • buddha bless the VC'S

  • Dinesh sir, India produces people like you, but you did not stay back to reform the nation that shape you as you are today. US is great, but if well educated people all pack and join the already great nation, what will be the condition of the those nations that have invested all its resources to produce people like yourself? For me I choose to stay back; not because US is bad, but because I want to help my nations as well become just and prosperous.

  • Dinesh shaped, fortified and cultivated himself; the U.S. offered the vision and the attraction which wholly squares with his belief system. He is a passionate believer in our system and we welcome him with great respect. Knowing his heart, it is no surprise that he would choose to adopt America as his home and identity. In the long term I believe he is helping everyone everywhere as a great American.

  • @MediaMayhem You admire this idiot? He comes to this country and advocates revoking our constitutional rights and you think it's so wonderful. That's a real George Washington you're fawning over.

  • @FantasticBob7000 Re: He comes to this country and advocates revoking our constitutional rights

I might have missed that one.

When (time frame) did he advocate to revoke our constitutional rights?

  • @MrChristianBeliever Why does the time frame matter, I don't have a date and time. Look up his interviews promoting legalized torture, that would Amendment VIII of the Bill of Rights. Not to mention Amendments IV through VII. And probably many other parts of the constitution.

You should check yourself instead of asking me. Especially if you're a Christian.

  • @FantasticBob7000 I thought you were referring to this video. I will have to check it out.

  • @MrChristianBeliever I hope I didn't seem rude. I know there are a lot of good people who may not know the truth behind these neocons. They know which pretty words to use and which buttons to push.

    Peace.

  • Dinesh does more for India by being American than he could ever have done for Indian Christian in India.

  • @amairaja I think your comment is great! I feel that immigrants should come here to the U.S. to make money and take it back to their home country to help make it better. I know a man who does that from a little village in Pakistan. He builds them homes and running water systems

  • @amairaja Yeah, stay in your old world and be patriot to your "homeland," and see what happens.

  • hey Mstical Princess. Partially agree but also completely disagree with you princess. yes, there are times when bombing a school or mosque is a mistake,....then at times they are claimed to be a 'mistake' when they darn well know that some terrorist is hiding in there. U know what though,....if a war is taking place, and an enemy is hiding in a school,...you hit the school. You may not like the ugly truth of war, ...and neither do i. but it is the nature of mankind since inception.

  • MsticalPrincess,

Have you ever watched the Israelite try to help children out of suicide bomber clothes with robots? Have those robots and smart bombs always existed and are they perfect?

Do you think when a boy in Korea came with a grenade the American soldier meant to kill the child in every case?

Let me know if you've never made a mistake in life. You must have done great in college.

  • WHAT???????? Me no comprende..lol

  • hahah Zing

  • So you don't commit mistakes, accidents don't happen to you huh.....neat.

  • Five Stars great video. Dinesh D'Souza is very perceptive and gives a very good analysis.

  • yeah he is isn't He's great!!!

  • Dinesh...nope...not anymore dude. People are turning away from the USA more and more eachday. This WAS the land of opportunity..with this economy...it isn't that way anymore. So no reason to come down. Let's thank the Feds for that.

  • MsticalPrincess,

I hear they all want to move to Darfur, where Muslims kill Muslims; Saudia Arabia, where slavery was banned in 1962 whoo-hoo!; and Russia, where democracy began in --- well they never really had democracy.

Okay so the Mexicans are moving to Mexico because Americans voted in Obama. What is your point MsticalPrincess?

  • ABA...Mexicans are moving to Mexico?? Mexicans live in Mexico. If you are going to reply...might help to get educated before trying to make ANY point

  • MsticalPrincess, have you ever heard of Mexican Americans or Illegal immigrants?

They are returning to Mexico. It must be because the dream of America is gone now that Obama is president.

You want to think you know how hearts see America globally relative to where they want to live so I offer my opinion to see if you think America is no longer seen as the dream of possibilities due to USA's latest actions.

  • Aba..I travel all over the world. I know what how hearts see America. What's your point?

  • MsticalPrincess,

What's my point? People hate us because of conditioning from their society, from our actions, & from the fact they can without certain consequences.

People also love us for the very reasons Dinesh D'Souza points out. The reasons don't have to be equal, but some of the points above on hate can relate to the points on love.

America, like Christianity (specific people), is often judged by the highest of standards.

God is also judged by a high standard & also be misunderstood.

  • So you agree that America and Christians are held to a different standard, but you think the Bible isn't real even though there is no way of explaining Zechariah 12:10 by scientific theories just like there is no way of explaining the video here on You Tube "Red Sea Crossing" but it makes you feel good to call me a weirdo.

    Okay, I'm a weirdo.

  • As America so the Christian.

Perhaps one day America and Christians will be merely a dream thanks to the hate.

  • Hopefully one day ALL religions will be a distant nightmare =-)

  • Yes arshsingh1984 you would wish for a universal pogram, but be aware the Bible predicts man behaving towards "no flesh" so your goal though lofty will not succeed and indeed merely shows God knows what the last days will be like.

  • whatever weirdo

  • well one is deff going to be your current nightmare someday LOL in the afterlife...LOL

  • idiot

  • u call me an idiot as your rebuttal? lol mostly all atheist can't reply without an insult or vulgarity... I have to create a blog just for the incomprehensible facts of that stat..all so vulgar..just like the Bible predicted God Bless

  • And condemning me to hellfire and torture for all eternity AND LAUGHING ABOUT IT (you sick fuck) is incomprehensible to me.

And who said I'm atheist? Just cause I don't buy your sick twisted faith doesn't mean I'm atheist. I'm Agnostic. And you're a jag-off

  • more vulgarities..lol just like an atheist..agnostic same thing..duh why do u hold so much hate in your heart? so sad I'll say a prayer for you.. God Bless

  • Arshsingh1984,

I don't think U R condemned 2 hell (eternal flames) 4 no purpose but torture. Fire consumes & so eternal punishment is 2 lose your new body that should not die & finding out that the soul will be consumed to death too.

Loss of eternal life is an eternal punishment.

Fear not those who have power to kill the body, but Him who has power over the second death. If you don't like fear, then choose the word reject not Him who has power over the second death.

    Peace, Psalms 51:17

  • Once again Dinesh D'Souza speaks truth here.

  • I hate his religious views, but damn it, this time, I must give it to him. He`s on the ball.

  • I love his religious views, & damn it, again, I must give it to him. He's on the ball.

You see Christianity like America is judged by a different standard & it is seriously attacked because it is powerful.

Just look at Zechariah 12:10 & know that no other religion speaks with such power in 520 B.C. because no other religion had God.

God is 1 & message is 1. Only sacrifice covers sins & sacrifice is known to be a man for Eve said, "I have gotten man from the Lord."

    Sacrifice shows belief.

  • "Just look at Zechariah..."

Stop... No. No fairy tales, s'il te plaît.

His ideas on the immigrant experience is what I was talking about. Stick to the issue.

  • The Acts 26:8 "Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?"

America has a dream and so do the Jews or did.

That is why they are hated. They are related.

We expect more from the people of God.

  • Check out my latest favorited video.

I just watched all of Dinesh D'Souza's debates and you may be surprised by what I favorite.

  • Hm, I see English isn't your first language. When I said "No fairy tales" I meant your religion. I don't care what it says in Acts or Zecharia, or Jebediah or Popeye 3:16. D'Souza and yourself are grossly misinformed when it comes to religion.

  • Arshsingh1984,

You bring up good pt. Dinesh ties his hands behind his back & does not use Bible, yet he stands well in debates against so many.

Interesting phenomenon likely showing why Bible is attacked so. Bible states man hates & is wicked. It also predicts Israel would be reformed by Messiah gathering them 3rd time. Now they did form a 3rd time, but not as predicted. Hence it is temporary & predicted that suffering at end will be towards "no flesh." Would Israel be hated & attacked?

  • So you say... Not one of your alleged prophecies has been proven... Not to mention science just outright disproves your religion. No debate necessary.

  • arshsingh1984, do you know how much of the Bible was prophecy when written and how many of those prophecies were literally fulfilled?

In like manner even Zechariah 12:10 has a pierced Messiah so it is half-way fulfilled.

I would like for you to show me a thought by Christian's to be fulfilled prophecy that you can prove isn't fulfilled and can't be.

Nor do I believe that science can or has disproven my religion.

  • Evolution, The Big Bang, The Roundness of the Earth, a Sun-Centred solar system, an Expanding universe... Yeah, I believe it is safe to say your religion is outdated.

And the onus is not on my to come up with a phony baloney prophecy; it's on you. And talking about vague messiahs, and how people will think your religion is stupid is not proof enough (especially considering all the counter-evidence aforementioned in the sciences).

  • Evolution - No / Gene Mutation - Yes

The Big Bang - Yes / E = mc^2 - Yes Earth after creation was without form and void so pure energy later to be converted to mass.

Roundness - Yes / Bible says Earth is round.

Sun-Centered solar system - Yes / So what?

Expanding universe - Yes / So what?

Please show me how the Bible is outdated in any of these areas otherwise your not proving much to me here.

  • ABAisSCIENCE said "Evolution - No"

    I rest my case.

The Big Bang? In the Bible? Really? I thought God moved across an ocean of chaos and set it straight. You know? Separating space water from Earth water?

Roundness: Bible calls the Earth is described as a circle, not a sphere.

In many verses of your wise text, the Earth is described as immovable with the sun returning to its place.

Expansion? Curtained heavens? bit of a stretch. But 1/5 is not that bad for an omniscient creator...

  • i think this may be the only time i have seen dinesh say anything worth while. an interesting perspective.

  • He holds his posture here far more impressively than in his debate with Dennett, where he sounds more like an angry preacher. Two thumbs up.

  • This is interesting, but what he say is true for many other countries. As an America in Germany I know this. I love my country, but nowadays it is not quite as unique as most Americans tend to think.

  • People love America's freedoms, but hate it's foreign policy.

  • thats what i was going to write before i saw the comments here. i was going to write that word for word! dinesh will never get that distinction.

  • The left of the world hates their foreign policy. Remember Europeans used to protest incessantly against American resistance to the Soviet Union. No one behind the iron Curtan was protesting trust me on that.

  • Dinesh is am extremely pragmatic individual who says it how it is. Great man! I like this guy very much! Every thing he says makes perfect sense.

  • not when it comes to religion...about everything els yes

  • Fuckin' Gunga Din.

  • Great Video. I saw the whole thing sometime in the past.. faggots like Gore Vidal should move to Saudi.

  • This guy has said a mouthful! Another reason that America is "hated" is that there are imbeciles throughout the world that have an enormous inferiority complex, thus envy being the reason for the "hate!" Tantamount to the ever-mounting jealousy of the poor guy toward his rich cousin!!

  • Are you saying the US is to the world as the New England Patriots is to the NFL?

  • what a pathetic liar, he makes india look like some kind of communist country, if this is how american neocons think then god bless america, because nobody else and nothing else will.

  • He is from India.

  • so what, doesnt mean that he has been to india in recent times, so there fore either he is an ignorant indian or a liar!

  • Dinesh is one pathetic believer, and one amazingly delusional individual.

  • Dinesh is one , actually next to Jesue , one of the most delusional characters in history, take off his glasses and you have full blindness, remove his rhetoric and you have complete christian agnosticism, oh well, someday these myths will sit next to Mother Hubbards.

  • who was persecuted by the puritans daisytoo- women who were freethinkers, accused of being witches and punished severely. remember the salem witch trials. freethinkers like roger williams who was exiled from a puritan community. the good news from him was that he ended up creating a colony later a state called rhode island where freedom of belief was respected.

  • Dinesh D'Souza is freaking neocon

  • i can respect conservatives right to their opinions. what i have a difficult time with is when people come here, telling everyone how terrible everything was in their mother countries, and believe that loyalty to their new country is to not only blindly support whatever current government is in power, left or right, but to profit from sales of his books.

  • he kind of reminds me of the double standards we Americans have been used to for so many centuries. puritans were a sect of christians who were persecuted by the anglican church in england, so they fled england and came here. the only thing was once here, they did to others what was did to them, and started persecuting people who were different from them.

  • "...we Americans have been used to for so many centuries.."

How many centuries? Five, ten, twenty? Fifty, perhaps?

"...they did to others what was did to them.."

    ...what was 'done' to them.

Six-hundred thousand perish in the American civil war and you post a comment like that.

    What a shame!

Dinesh is not naive. He constantly cites historical references that only prove the depth of his knowledge and imagination.

    Just read his books.

Guess who has the limited scope?

  • You're correct Media, his knowledge and imagination has not made him a Jew, your comments are vile and purely ingnorant of any sensible connations. enjoy you invisible unknowable god, oh , forgot to add, never been proven to exist universe creator, LOL

  • "..the only thing was once here, they did to others what was did to them, and started persecuting people who were different from them." Um, exactly who was persecuted by the Puritans? And, were they busy persecuting people before, during or after establishing evil institutions like, say, Harvard? You have no right to whine about people more worthwhile than yourself. Go out and establish something as valuable as the Puritans did and then get back to me with your revised edition of history.

  • I have no double standards, so speak for yourself, my standard is no belief in an invisible, unknowable, never proven to exist, infinite universe creator. Speak all you want about sects, the vilest one around is named Christian.

  • Gore Vidal is such a dumb cunt. I mean let's just be honest for a second...

  • Wow Dinesh is like my hero. I got to admit before I hear Dinesh speaches I was one of those pansy free floating idealist like so many pacificist and liberals are. Dinesh kind of slaped me back to reality. All that he said about America is true there was no deception. The fact that we're in Iraw for oil... like "No SHIT!". Of course that's why we're there and what's wrong with that? Maybe you want to pay 8 dollars a gallon at the pump? We go there to buy oil not steal it.

  • D'Souza for President!

  • Except he never could, because he wasn't born here. He's just a good speaker who, when you actually listen to him, is actually quite fucking stupid. Listen to his religious debates.

  • judging by your own word you are the fucking stupid. Can't you disagree with someone respectfully?

  • "Can't you disagree with someone respectfully?"

And at the same time, this person most likely walks around thinking he's open-minded. : )

  • would be nice to see what Gore Vidal's responses were in that - but then again, completely ignoring the opposing argument, it's the Dinesh D'Souza way!

  • nice, lots of venom. chockie explosion is a bitch with a $2 hooker for a mummy that needs cock and junk just to stop herself from jumping off a bridge because of the usless fucktard son she illegitimately gave birth to.

We can go on like this or you can say something constructive.

  • it was constructive you dumb red neck fuck.. and it was based on fact rather than venom moron. Dinesh is clearly a virgin, and believes knowledge equals intelligence and insight, How fucking stupid are you that you can't understand that?

  • You're pretty stupid if you think "classic virgin dickhead" is a constructive way to bring across your point. Well done sir.

  • it is... because, i would rather not be preached at by people incapable of forming basic human relationships... his love of his own intellect might be enough for him but not for me, perhaps that is why he would prefer there to be a God... so that his one chance at life might not have been so wasted

  • "...his love of his own intellect.."

...it's more like your loathing of your own deficiencies.

  • No, I don't think he's that smart that's the point. He does, knowledge is not insight.

  • Look, the man is a brilliant thinker. There's no question about it. Your comments reveal a bitter and pushy person. D'Souza's thoughts do not.

  • No, you just agree with his message... How can he be both a brilliant thinker and a Christian? those two do not mix

  • Good job Dinesh.

  • Agreed. Good thought.

  • This guy is amazing.

  • this guy is good

  • I agree with his statements here but it's ironic that they conflict so much with his personal religious beliefs.

  • Really.. Please articulate.

  • whats with the guy shifting around uncomfortably?

  • He's from India and they are often uncomfortable with asserting themselves directly. It's cultural. Don't worry about it.

  • oh no, Dinesh is fine, i was talking about the host. seems like he can't just sit in one place and listen but has to shift around

  • hey wtf are u talking about? don't diss india, I'm indian. Anyway, dinesh disgusts me.

  • As you do me.

  • Why does he disgust you?

  • Sorry, I didn't mean to be such an asshole. He doesn't disgust me. In fact, I think he is an OK guy. However, he is a hardcore republican and he is extremely religious. I'm the complete opposite of that. I'm really democratic and I'm atheist. so ya.. But um, he doesn't actually disgust me.

  • You don't have to apologize lol, we all speak more harshly on the net

Anyway, I wouldn't classify him as "extreme," I see him more as an enlightened/rationalist Christian and conservative. He understands that evolution is true, and uses reason and logic in his debates against Hitchens, and the like. Some atheists who have debated him are surprisingly impressed by him, which atheists would rarely admit. Some of his views dip into what would be classified as "extreme," but just some.

  • yes i agree. To be honest, i don't like Hitchens much, I mean I agree with most of what he says against religion, but he can be annoying and narrow minded at times. I love atheists like Dawkins, and some of his companions. Also I feel like Dinesh is sucking up to America (so white conservatives can respect him).. meh, but thats just my opinion.

  • And honestly a rather ridiculous opinion.

  • He's good.

  • Amen to that!

  • Young people and foreigners love the idea of America because America does an excellent job of maintaining its front. The Land of Opportunity. Behind the scenes the U.S. agenda is not so pretty and this is becoming more apparent as time goes on. Some people hate America because they realize how corrupt it's become and how deluded it's people are and they fear for their lives, their homes and their culture. I can't blame either side for thinking as they do.

  • Hemp- behind the scenes AMerica is not a land of opprtunity? well as an asian living in the west i think dinesh is right!

Asian countries and african countries all lament how corrupt our politicians are (in way that cripples our ourcountries) and lerts not even talk about the backwardness of Islamic countries!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hemp- behind the scenes AMerica is not a land of opprtunity? well as an asian living in the west i think dinesh is right!

  • read the great gatsby by fitzgerld. In every era in America there is a feeling of decline with simultanoues feeling of opportunity

  • While Dinesh is a knowledgeable person, his perspective on Indian culture is somewhat outdated, and dare I say very western-Christianity and post-modern oriented. What does it mean to be a Christian and an Indian? The Christian in India has his/her own unique cultural expression of living as a Christian.

  • No, there is no doubt that Dinesh has completely adopted and assimilated into American/Western culture; he exudes and appreciates it. After all, isn't it the U.S. Constitution that Dinesh is using and citing to make a contrast between our very different cultures?

  • that's true that he cites the US constitution to bring out the contrast. But also keep in mind that the constitution is the only common point of reference he has with those who are at the table with him. He himself is a U.S. citizen after all so he has to uphold the same.

  • oh do you mean they have stopped wife burning ......oh yea guess not.

  • you're referring to a practice called "sati" which has been attacked in India since the 18th century and has been declared illegal since 1829 in one state, and in the whole of India later on in its constitution. It is extremely rare in occurance and is looked upon as an evil practice by the greater public. In a country of 1 billion, a remote uneducated minority might still do it.

This however has nothing to do with Dinesh, as his allegiance is to the US constitution, not to the Indian.

  • I lived in India for 6 years,as an

archeologist .The road in life in India is a rail road track from school to work and death. I know exactly what Dinesh is talking about. And the burning isn't reported as a wife burning, that's frowned on, it is called suicide, but when one reads the obit, you can tell. And if you had lived there you would know that.

  • Can you confirm for me that sati's origins was that after a wife's husband died in Muslim-dominated India, that the subsequent risk of getting raped by Muslims was to high to pay and it was better for the widow to kill herself.

  • no, its origins is from more traditional Hinduism which, upon the death of a husband, left a woman as widow for the rest of her life, labeled impure & financially dependent on the groom's household (cuz culturally, upon marriage she leaves her own household and becomes a part of the groom's family). With changing society today a bride is no longer so distant from her family because of easily available transportation (an example, other changes exist). But that doesn't mean that it doesn't happen.

  • that started expnading during muslim rule and not existed vastly before muslim era

    muslim sraped indian women

    furing their rule

So, you have the contxt which leads to it

  • Dinesh for President!!!!!!

  • Second that motion!!

  • I like Dinesh and agree with him here. I think he gave as good of an argument as one can give for Christianity when debating anti-theism and Christopher Hitchens, though I agree with Christopher Hitchens in the Christianity vs. Anti-theism debate. They're both a credit to the USA and both are very American.

  • I think I like this man. I do not know enough about him but I saw him debating Christopher Hitchens, and have just watched this video. I think he is a realist. He does not jump to outrageous conclusions such as what we see from a large number of individuals on both sides of the political agenda.

    Seems like an honest man!

  • This is the first video I saw with Dinesh and after I watched it, I went out and bought all but 2 of his books. (Reagan & Virtue)

He is a genius and makes consistent arguments in favor of America and its ideals.

He eats the lunch of pretty much anyone he debates.

  • makes me so much prouder to be an american

  • Dinesh consistently makes cogent arguments.

  • The fact that everybody is outraged when America does evil things, is not as d'Souza claims because they hold America to a higher moral standard. It's because America with it's economic power enforces the so called 'open society' and sets the rules in such a way that it profits to most from it. So that's the source of the outrage, not a moral indignation.

  • What evil things? What does America do that so unique and evil? Profits most from it? Why wouldnt America want to profit, what would any other country do in its place? i'd rather have a democratic, benign superpower like America where at least you can critisize and oppose publicly, than China or Russia or pretty much any other country.

  • I used the word evil in a cheeky sense. But anyways your question is a big one.

The short answer is that you could read a book from Naomi Klein for instance. Capitalism has it's downsides. And comparing with dictatorships is not really an argument for anything accept for something everybody agrees on. Oh, and if you really mean that "pretty much any other country" is like Russia and China you really should read some books, or travel, that would help too. Cheers.

  • Evil things we've done... here are some off the top of my head... the assassination of Patrice Lumbaba in Congo, the murder of Salvador Allende in Chile, the economic subjugation of Latin America, our alliance with the fanatically theocratic ruling family of Saudi Arabia, the fact that we are the largest arms dealer in the world...

Basically, the fact that practically every single thing we do is done to secure profit at the expense of human rights, democracy, and international law.

  • D'Souza calls it Anti-Americanism, when it fact it is the exact opposite. It is the duty of every American to scrutinize the government, and our right to do so is protected by the First Amendment to the Constitution. To accept everything we are told by the government without questioning is un-American.

  • duty to scrutinize? noooo. we have a right to speak out, not a right to disapprove. however we can rightfully speak out in disapproval.

  • Were it not for the Americans, the French would be speaking Kraut!

  • And if not for the French America would still be British.
