Hello - I was wondering whether someone who has the Day of the Dead soundtrack CD would mesg me. Im desperate for a copy and would be happy to share my Breakin' and Breakin' 2 movie soundtracks (also very rare and bloody expensive)
@SIGN666 This song wasn't in the movie. I guess it was one of those tracks that did not make the final cut. great song though. I'm glad they released it on the soundtrack.
I have this LP. I've even had Tom Savini and "BUB" sign it. Even the Remake of this film is terrible. I also have some unopened casettes of the soundtrack, that I found in a bin from a music store that was closing down.
Yes, The Day of the Dead remakes are horrible. I'm not sure if the producers knew what Romero was doing in the original. A zombie film is no good unles there is some kind of commentary to social satire.
I fully credit Sputzy for "shaming" me into getting up and singing in public for the first time almost 20 years ago at Frederick's in Moon Township (Pittsburgh)... ah, some would say he created a monster that night.. LOL. What an INCREDIBLE voice this man has to this day!
Yeah, I certainly agree with you. But in 80's, zombie movies goers were still often regarded as some sorts of the freaks or the abnormals unlike today. Thanks to the world-wide hit of the 'Resident Evil' series, it has been becoming more main stream entertainment. It is really a pity that the song of this quality remains unknown, isn't it?
Thanx, I don't think this track is in the movie and I probably would have never heard it otherwise. The practical special effects in this movie were awesome.
one day it just fell into my hands. lol! actually, i bought the cd from a friend that owned a sci-fi Super Collectors shop years ago. The last I heard of John, he was selling TVs. The last I seen him, he was next to Star Wars cast that were signing autographs at a convention.
lol i love how in the 80s even the horror movies have a ballad in them

I've just bought a new/sealed casette tape off eBay. Looks like I'll need to make a digital transfer from it.
I was hoping someone might already have a CD quality copy floating around. Pretty hard to find arent they!
Cheers :)

I'll take an un-opened tape soundtrack. The Harrison score is one of my faves.

@Dogbandit
eBay had a few un-opened soundtrack cassettes. I bought a copy as a collectible backup in case somehting happened to my LP or CD copy.

Thank you for uploading this piece!
I used to have the soundtrack record from this movie(Day of the dead), back in 1985.
But it was lost when my family moved to another house while I was overseas.
So I am really glad to be able to listen to this melody again.
