Why does everyone describe Demigod as "just like DOTA". I've never played DOTA so I have no idea what that means! What do you even do in that game? It looks like an RTS but somehow it's different?

DOTA stands for Dawn of the Ancients, it was originally a Warcraft 3 mod, where you have a huge variety of hero characters.

I know that. I know OF DOTA, but I don't the details of the gameplay. I see all these battles and skill trees in the video, but none of it is really explained. Like y'know "In Bioshock you play as a guy who walks around in an underwater world, etc etc". Where is the part where they say "Demigod is a game where you (insert description here)" ? Instead it's like "It plays just like DOTA, for those who've played it already". Okay? Thanks.

It is a loose storyline of a bunch of demigods who are fighting in arena tournaments. The winner will fill an empty seat in the Pantheon and become a full god.
