I'm a Little Monster, and I'm not hating on Katy when I say this but I didn't like it. It's not really Katy's style. I'm used to Katy having fun beats and perky sounding, not playing a more serious song like Born This Way. Her vocals don't really fit either. Gaga can sing this song amazingly with ease, it just seems like Katy's trying too hard. Plus, her foot stomping is kind of distracting. I do think its cool that she covered Gaga though...I thought she didn't like her but I was wrong.

I think the reason why it sounds off is because she just doesn't hold the same kind of vocal power to her voice. She's just not like Adele or Gaga, who can sit there and belt out a note and actually fluctuate a little. You'll notice that in all of her live performances, the songs are in a lower key because the high notes in the studio versions are out of her reach.
