I can't believe you got that tone from an MG. It really is the player that makes the tone, not the gear. That said, Melody Makers seem pretty damn nice.

They can have either 1 or 2. Some models have 2 single coils but most have one.

To anyone who doubts this guitar; try it out please!!! I know where the les paul junior people are coming from, i'm one of them, but seriously, the melody maker is like it's more expensive brother in so many ways....it's one hell of a guitar for the price!! And by the way, the ones i'm talking about are NOT the p90 ones.. I used to doubt these guitars, thinking they are only toys...i tried a few out at my guitar store with no intention on buying, i left the store after putting a deposit on one..

Idk, the neck's slim as hell, and the upper fret access isn't bad. It's just those P-90 style single coils that just ain't enough for metal.

@MMAmassey Afraid I can't remember exactly. I remember we just turned it on and pretty much it was the preset sound from the amp. Marshall sound like Marshall so there easy to get sounding right.

I am really wanting to get this guitar. The only thing that would stop me is that this guy, Scott Grove, made a review of it and he showed how the finish comes off extremely easy. His youtube name is "groovydjs" This isn't spam or anything, this guy seriously shows how the finish comes off. I still want this guitar nonetheless. Maybe I'll have to just put a clear coat over it.

No its not a junior...

It is a melody maker, a junior is very simuklar in the look... but have different pickups, is alot heavier... The Melody maker is the lightst guitar ever made, good to play, No one have ever made a copy looking like the Mm Like morgan have Les paul etc
