the probem with this job is if you don't like it you cannot leave immediatly like you can with a normal job. SOme people finish training get signed up and find out they dont like it and have to apply for leave which can take some time. thats the real downside to this job and many don't think about. Its not nice being stuck out on a ship at sea in crampped living conditions and find out you absolutely hate it. I've heard its serious bordom due to the cramped living conditions
this advert is not how it is in there, more like u clean,u clean, u clean,u clean, u clean,u clean u clean n u do some more cleaning n then some more,n then more other pointless jobs, really makes me laugh wen i see this advert
@MrLifewithoutlimits1 i always wanted to join the navy but i think im too old at 30. Wish i did it years ago but got tied down with a mortgage and kids. looks a good life apart from the cleaning though lol.
@steve1mufc you better join while u can ur 30 the navy take people till their 36 youv'e got 6 glorious years to start so get packing for plymouth and join go on you'r kids are probably grown up and will understand go now!
@forget1me14 Went down the careers office last week, turns out im eligible for every trade which i was suprised at, and its not uncommon for up 37 year olds to join. Im looking at the submarine service as a rating. Just got to pass the apptitude test and medical. Im a little apprehensive though about my age being at rally. When you joined did you see any trainees 30+. Cheers. steve
