That's due to the fact that skin is flexible and Kratos pushes a cavity into the skin of Cronos. He doesn't really withstand the brute force of this huge titan. That would be impossible... but then again... he's a demigod, a "half-god"... and he's still stronger than most gods, even stronger than Zeus (hell, he beat the crap outta him with his bare hands...)... maybe he's that strong. I always thought about that too. For example when he pulls himself up at the Forum...

No dead gods (i.e., Olympians and Titans) have been officially depicted inside of the underworld, and no post-life fate has been officially depicted for them. As far as we can tell, they simply cease to exist when they die. Athena is the exception, for some unexplained reason*.

Also, it has NEVER been officially stated that Zeus killed Cronos. Zeus defeated and severely punished Cronos. That's it.

*Athena never explained HOW sacrificing herself led to her current state.
