Thankyou Deval for introducing this mantra to me. I found it a year ago, you singing it, and was consumed with its beauty, especially when I translated it, and found it to be both God and Goddess lyrics in the same verses. And the other bversions of this and other mantras I was led to later wre indeed helpful to me. I now sit alone with my loss of leg and other ailments, this gives me some peace while my world falls around me.

It is not the right way to chant Gayatri Mantra- either they should get it right or not sing at all. I agree this music is beautiful but they could have used some other lyrics. Vedas have to be chanted a certain way.

This is not the correct way to chant the Gayatri mantra. Such a powerful mantra can have adverse effects if not chanted according to the vedas. This is just a mockery of such a great mantra. Please listen to the mantra with the correct sanskrit intonations. The singer of this video has numerous videos on youtube with the wrong intonations.
