I have rosacea and found caustic chemicals like sulfur and salisytic acid to be very damaging to my skin. I'm male, in my 20s, and minocycline seems to work the best. However, I'm cautious about using it persistently. Other than the mixture you said, if I have rosacea and sensitive skin, what would you recommend?
@eskercurve . Use Turmeric powder and mix with plain yogurt as facial mask for 15 mins, and then wash before bed. Use Egyptian Magic creme to moisturize your face twice a day. Take vitamin D3,B12,fish oil. Eat greek yogurt or drink keyfir on empty stomach for pro biotic to boost immune and improve skin. Stay away from diary..milk, cheese, cake, ice cream..etc. as well as alcohol. This is what works for me. Moderate exercise to reduce stress. No one can tell I have rosacea today! Good luck!
Sunblocks/sunscreens are the absolutely worst things you can put on your face if you have rosacea. NEVER EVER put those on your face unless you want it to get far worst. If you don't believe me, try it and prepare for the worst experience in your life. No one can prove me wrong about this. Do not listen to any advice from anyone, especially from the doctors about putting sunblock on your face. No evidence whatsoever.
@KhmuPrinceCharming Then what do you do? Let your face burn and look redder than ever? Please let me know what your suggestions are! I don't want to make my problems worse! :)
@CrystalChord2010 I strongly advise you to stay away from sunscreen/sunblock products if you have rosacea because it only makes it worse. My skin routine includes mix plain yogurt and turmeric power and apply to your face as facial mask for 15 mins. and then wash. After that use Egyptian Magic creme on your face. African black soap is great for facial wash. What I take: Creek yogurt on empty stomach every morning or drink kefir to boost immune system. Take vitamin D3, B12, Fish Oil. wear hat!
Everything you just mentioned does not help a bit. They are for prevention but not treatment. What if you already have red bumpy skin? How do you treat? What if your pores enlarge and skin thicken due to rosacea? How do you treat? Can't believe you're a dermatologist who put up a video telling people how to treat rosacea by using just sunscreen.
