  • What harp can I use without doing the adjustments that you made to yours. Thanks and very good job! My band wants to play this tune and I'm just a beginner on a harp so this is very helpful to me.

  • If you want to play exactly like this you need to adjust it yourself because you can't buy this tuning. But I think you should try a harp with standard tuning, maybe the possibilities that harp gives you is just right for you. But in that case you will not be able to catch all important notes for this song unless you are able to play overblow in hole 6 very good. Another possiblity is to try an A harp in Natural Minor. That will not be exactly the same, but it will give you a more minor blues.

  • @HakanEhn Thank you for the reply.

  • I have no words... Oh my Gosh!!! What is this? You are the best!

  • ooooh... yeah! U rock!!

  • Who the fuck would dislike this.

  • Did Mike Stevens leave the negative??

  • Your the best harp player i have heard on u tube keep up the good work you should be on tv

  • @156dave

Thanks for your comments. It's only weird things on TV. Youtube is the place.

  • Awesome playing ! How long have you been playing the harp ?

I just bought an key of A harp at Guitar Center this week.

I'm trying to play this damn thing but it's tough to do.

    Stu

  • Excellent playing. Only, if I'm not mistaken, it wasn't Lee Oskar on the Doors track. It was actually John Sebastian from "Loving Spoonful". Like I said Excellent playing.

  • SICK!!!! wish i could play like that!

  • Great job! VERY close to the original

  • You can convert this or any youtube video to an mp3 at instantmp3s..com

  • hey you were really playing the harmonica? if so pass me the notes of the song please

    I like that song

  • Is it possible to get the backing track from somewhere?

  • @bernied55

No backing track is not available. The best backing track, if you want to practice is probably any of the Doors versions on youtube.

  • I don't want to retract from your expertise but there is a problem from separating fact from fiction, you are playing the harp with background drumming session. If so you are doing a fantastic job.

  • Do you have a band, do you tour, will you come to the US? Interesting how many Scandinavians love blues and are great players, going back to the 1960's-maybe earlier?

  • One of the best harmonica players I have ever heard! Just watching this gives you the incentive to keep trying!

  • Ok, now I feel bad. Thought I was doin ok till I heard this man play! LOL

  • You have a rough sounding harp... mine sounds like an aye-aye mating call while your sounds like a rhino rushing down a mountain!

  • I love your sound . Great tone!!!

    .

  • I've seen a lot of the great harp material on You Tube and I'm totally blown away by this. You Rock! I love this. Fantastic version and voicing on the harp.

  • thank you!

  • I watch your videos with lots of attention and really like riffs like at 0:25 that you sort of loop. I think it's a great way to fill a solo and space it out at the same time. I know you probably have lots of video requests, but I would appreciate a lot to have one where you just do a couple of riffs in loop (without the tabs, harp is easy enough to figure out by ear for most). That'd be a great way to stock up in my riff library. Thanks, and greetings from Canada!

    Frank

  • Thanks for your comments Frank! That's an interesting idea, a video with riffs. Have'nt done that before so that's maybe something I could try.

  • do you use any other effect other than overdrive, delay and reverb?

  • not on this one, no i don't think so

  • Comment removed

  • Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat you're downright SICK on that harp. I want to play like that!! damn..

How can I find the TABS to just get me started. What Key would you recomend?

  • good job man

  • thank you

  • pretty neat my man , damn cool !

  • I´m glad you like it!

  • hello global neighbor. very nice of you to share your knowledge with us hakan. does lee oscar have this harp tuning already? dont want to risk destroying a harp yet? thanks.

  • The Lee Oskar Natural Minor is similar but not exaxtly the same. The problem for me when I use this Natural Minor is that more notes are adjusted (pitch lowered)than I really need, so it sounds too "minor" for this song I think.

  • Incredible.

  • good stuff..

  • bueniiiiiisimo!! me suscribi a your videos :)

  • That´s very kind of you!

  • good sound

  • thanks

  • Sounds great. What kind of mic are you using?

How are you playing the jam track?

  • Thanks. The mic is Shure SM57 and the backing track with bass and drums is from my BOSS BR-1200 CD digital recording studio.

  • Those Boss recorders are the greatest! I got the BR-1600 and am making the best damn recordings of my life.

  • ya man thats what i,m talking about

    thanks for the post!

  • Great Play Hakan. Thanks a lot for your music Best regards:

    Steph.

    Hakan

  • I love that song! That's a good interpretation!

  • Man! That's Bad@ss. Get us some tabs for that quick.

  • Man! thats bad@ss. Get us some tabs for that quick.

  • Tabs won't help you unless you want to take a file to your 3 and 6 hole draw reeds. (Click on "More Info" up there on the right.)

  • Thanks! It´s right as he says in the comment below that I use special tuning on my harp. It´s also possible to use a standard harp in A and play like the tabs I show in the info box on this page. But it´s not exactly as I play in this video.
