As they say, 'BOOMER FRIGGIN' SOONER'! While watching my Canes against tOSU, I'll be listening to the OU band playing Boomer Sooner & The Pride Of Oklahoma all night in Tallahassee...

Wrong. Nobody was beating OU that year. Florida State had the highest rated offense that season and OU held them to ZERO offensive points.

I've been saying for YEARS that this was the game that really started the decline for FSU football. I remember watching this game and being SHOCKED by it. I say this because I had been watching college football for years by that point and had NEVER seen FSU get SLAPPED AROUND the way they did in this one. They really did lose a bit of their swagger on this night and they really have yet to get it back. It'll be interesting to see what happens under Jimbo Fisher.

@wideawakeinotown I'm actually not even an FSU fan. But I have to say, a coaching change is EXACTLY what FSU needed. Yes, Bobby Bowden is a LEGEND. But he, like anybody else, is also human and he can't coach forever. Frankly, and for whatever reason, he lost that program a long time ago and it has been a stale situation ever since. Will Jimbo Fisher get it done? Maybe yes, maybe no. But in the long run, this IS step in the right direction regardless.

@bzurvalec FSU could have won this game IF the gameplan wasnt so vanilla! They were in the I formation for alot of the game and when they went to four wide receivers it was easy to defend when they had two on each side. Plus no Snoop Minnis for academic reasons.
