  • What makes you say it is almost dead if it runs and sounds good?

  • i am trying to buy a 2003 Chevy Siverado 1500 for $5,200 cash from dealer with 170,000 miles

the engines seems to run good and look clean

is the truck worth it or will it die with in the next 20,000 miles ?

    plz help

  • it sounds like V6 ???

  • It's a 4.8 V8.

  • i had a 2001 malibu i know its not a truck but it had the 3.1 V6 it finally died at 295,674 miles i miss that car it was fucking fast best malibu of the year all options lol

  • @JU9NCH9V3Z that's because the 3.1 is fuckin tank. i had a 91 lumina when i was a teenager and a dumbass. ran it without oil no tellin how many times and buried the temp gauge twice and that car is still being used at the local round track in a pure stock class, with 280k miles on the odometer. lol

  • @svtlincoln ya 3.1's and 3.8's are the shit so are 4.3's one of my friends has a 90 somthin lumina and has 260k and absolutely gets the shit beat out of it and runs great lol

  • how many miles on this silverado? sounds like it needs a new engine and battery :-)

  • The video description says "almost 170,000 mi"

Truck's an 01. Battery was brand new, engine has been whooped on its entire life. But it's still as powerful (more so with bolt-ons) as it was when it came from the assembly line.

  • your ding is gone

  • Ding? The chime when you first turn the key to the "run/acc" position? I'd had the key kicked forward for a couple minutes while I put my seat belt on and got the camera ready.

  • 170k is just broke in for a chevy, for a ford on the other hand maybe lol

  • Yeah but this motor was beat its entire life. So it was pretty whooped on.

  • i hope thats your opinion. we had a 97 F150 ext cab got rid of it at 300K cause wanted to upgrade to a 02 F-150 Super Crew. and i have 118K on my own ext F150 and no problems.

  • Ya it is lol... I got a 1996 chevy suburban with 193,000 miles and runs great and still holds 50 lbs of oil pressure warm and almost 70 when cold

  • That's actually pretty good. My exes ex (confusing, right? Not as confusing as we both have a kid with her), has an Explorer (92-93) with 620k on it. Original motor, original transmission, etc. The only things that aren't original are the usual tune up things, fluids, filters, fuel pump, plugs, wires, etc.

  • and now i have 128k lol
