That totally WAS acting!!! The entire segment was scripted ... it's obvious! They even had the graphics prepared for use at the scripted moment. Do you think that his monologues are spontaneous too? Also, the questions and topics he poses to guests are prepared before hand. I suppose you think that the Muppet Show was real too? (THEY WERE PUPPETS !!!)

That spinning 'special' thing actually dates back to one of the major networks - they used it when they were airing holiday programming and the like.
I think it was CBS that did it.
