  • Is it able to handle a 22" radius with the diaphragms and guidance arms?

  • My father designed that train with Alan Cripe back in the 1960's Incredible design.

  • Hoover!

  • I feel a headache coming on?

  • is this by con-cor

  • WOW!! If I could only get a sound unit like that with a K-5LA air horn for my Jouef Amtrak RTG Turboliner I'd be in business!! VERY nice!!

  • any possibility that there will be an N scale model? PLEASE PLEASE.....say yes.

  • Looks like HO to me but they might have an N scale in the future

  • no

im just kiddng, i hae no idea

  • Love the turbo start up, looks great in both Via & CN colour schemes. Whats the minimum radius suggest for this?

  • It will handle 18" radius no problem without the diaphragms or guidance arms on the single-axle trucks. With diaphragms and guidance arms, 24" is recommended.

  • sounds nice looks nicer

  • werent those made by Boeing?

  • Been a long time admirer of Rapido Trains and this magnificent specimen. But sadly have been out of model railroading for some time. But RapidoTrains and this Turbo always makes me wish I could come back to it!

Keep up the great work, and thank you for the preservation!

  • The thing sounded like the old Batmobile starting up. You could almost hear Burt Ward saying, "Atomic batteries to power.....turbines to speed."

  • great model!! i might have to buy once they come out, the horn sounds kinda ugly tho

  • I know - the horn sound is very ugly, but accurate. I love it. The real one could wake the dead.

  • Very accurately ugly horn! I just wish I'd be able to afford it! Is there ANY way I can just order 1 power car with sound, 1 passenger car, and a power car with out sound/DCC?

  • Nice model! I seem to like the oddballs, because they're different. I like AMC Gremlins and the EMD BL-2 engine as well. :) I think Bachmann had a crude Turbotrain back in the '70s, was pretty bad, but they're rare as hens teeth now, if not also then. If this new release turns out nicer, I may be in the market for one.

  • IF it turns out nicer? Buddy, you have noooooooooo idea how much of an understatement that is! They could charge whatever they like, but I'll still be buying the genuine Cn 9-car consist (and building a layout to run it at speed too!)

  • So....

  • very nice - is it self-made?

  • Try reading the info on the video.....its a pre production model...

  • ok, sry... ^^

  • I am so very glad you came up with the vid! Been waiting to see and here at the same time!

  • Sweet!
