you clearly are either very young or dont know what your talking about. if u miss the right head shot u injure the jaw and that moose/deer will not be able to eat and starv to death. a responsible hunter takes the lung shot. learn something

with a fire arm yes, not with a bow. a shot in the upper neck/ lower head from a firearm will drop it in its tracks because of the shock wave generated on bullet impact. the bullet doest need to travel directly through its spinal cord to sever it. watch a bullet hit gel then watch an arrow. head shot with an arrow is extremely hard. if you miss a direct spinal cord hit it will travel through and the moose is gone. and arrow could glance off its skull and it would be merely a scratch.
