  • can boys wear some fuzzy pom poms

  • Bravissima e coonsigli utilissimi!

  • "I have been brushing my ball hair for a while."

Thank you for this! I bought a cute hat that I felt was in major need pom poms.

  • i love the last part where you make it fuzzy!! i think thats the cutest thing to put on the end of a point crochet baby hat :))

  • @tjw1963 I dont get how you connect them?

  • may i share some of these vids on my yt channel?

  • @GreyWolfEyes1222 What do you mean by share them?

  • @tjw1963 i'd d/l the vids to my pc then upload to my yt channel. i also would give u ALL the credit.

  • Thanks Theresa, that's good info to have cuz i don't have a wire brush, but i do have a cat and a cat brush! Lol

  • One word came to mind when I watched your video " AWESOME" !!!

  • @RachelLivings Thank you. I appreciate you watching my crochet tutorials.

  • I love the fuzzy look of it. I would've never thought to brush it. Lol! Thanks for another great video. :)

  • @sylvislellis77 I discovered the fuzzy look many years ago when I had a cat and started using the cat brush on the yarn ball. The cat brush worked the best.

  • Thank you tjw1963,you just made my day and it's only 5 a.m. . Now I can make a colourful fuzzy pom pom. Thanks again!

  • you fail at cutting...

  • how big is that pom pom

  • I like pom poms (:

  • ahah lol "yarn".. xD we call it "wool" ;)

  • @YogiYule We have both yarn and wool. This is the fake wool or man made so we call it yarn.

  • @tjw1963 Ohh okay i apologise(: x

  • Instead of cutting the triangle in the middle I justr pinched the cardboard and cut a circle instead of drawing it. and I did a different way. SOme tips:

    1. brush it 2 times a week

    2. trim the extra parts of the pom pom so u don't make it look messy

    3, GOOD LUCK

  • How do u make them stick together glue, tape???

  • @london1102000 u hav 2 like make it tight and make it stick 2gether. if u don't then it'll probably fall apart

  • Thx

  • Thank you for posting this! I'd never made a pom pom before and in just a few minutes I had a perfect one! Thanks again!!

  • @sharalynn72 You are welcome. :)

  • is there anything other than a wire brush i can use?

  • @magenite0 You can use a cat brush. I have tried a regular brush and it does not work.

  • This looks easier to figure out then the last method. I made one using the other method (just wrapping around 3 of my fingers) and got one but it looked a little awkward. I sewed it to my beanie I made for a friend and the next day she told me it fell apart! I was so embarrassed when she told me what happened! This looks like it'll stay together a whole lot better! I think I'll give it a try next time instead of the other way...

  • it reminds me of a tangela :D!

  • i used a cat brucs since i dident have a wire brush and it worked fine :)

  • @8108angela The cat brush is where I got the idea from years ago.

  • Is there anything other than a wire brush that can be used? :P

  • I too couldn't stop laughing at the ball hair comment

  • @daddywarbux2007 The one about brushing hair balls? :)

  • I LOVE THE INTERNET! :) I don't know if i know anyone who does stuff like this but I can find people on the internet who do!! I always wondered how you made the FUZZY ones. You just brush em :) cooool. Also had no idea an easy way to make the ball in teh first place

  • @Nancy8805 The Internet is great for putting together people with the same interests.

  • I LOVE THE INTERNET! :) I don't know if i know anyone who does stuff like this but I can find people on the internet who do!!

  • you have really helped me with so much thank you!

  • @xPixiesRevengex You are welcome. :)

  • so if I wanted to make, say, a playboy bunny tail, I would need to use a LOT of yarn and a very thick cardboard ring?

  • Fantastic! I didn't know about the cardboard circle! That sure does make it a lot easier! Thanks for the tips! :-)

  • @grubbypheet You are welcome! :)

  • Ahoy there! I remember making these back when I was a kid. I think it was a few years before electricity was invented! Hahaha.

We didn't do the cut and notch thing. Gosh, that is a great trick to make it go much faster.

    Arrrrr. CaptRob

  • @PirateLifestyleTV Greetings Captain Rob. You could make some pom poms to stash in your pirate booty!

  • @tjw1963 And I have! Thanks for the idea.

  • I make it! it turned out fantastic! thanks!

  • Awesome vid! The only thing is that I think I didn't go around enough cuz it fell apart the first time I made it.

  • @JustinDrewBieber1998 Tie it really tight and loop the yarn around in different places

  • if you don't feel like buying a wire brush to fluff it up, is there something else that you can use that we probably have at home?

  • @Chrissicole You can use a cat brush. Nothing works very well except the wire brush.

  • Can you reuse the cardboard?

  • @8108angela Absolutely you can reuse the cardboard until it wears out.

  • i love the yarn ball thing i made it and i thought it it was so cool thanks :)

  • @hererya You are welcome! :)

  • i am going to try to make a r=ug out of these!

  • I brushed mine then it turned into a total disaster

  • This was avery helpful video. Thanks!

  • @8109zd You are welcome! :)

  • Thankyou! I finally get how to make them!!

  • @pallasatheneofwisdom I am glad you got it!

  • oohhh that's why there's a cut in the circle! I would put the end of my yarn in and have to put it until i got to the begining.... SSOOO much easier!!

  • easy! p s ty. (thank you)

  • @MademoiselleAshley You are welcome!

I've made hats, scarves flowers, pom poms and more from your videos and I must say thank you so much again. You saved Christmas, my family LOVED the things I gave them and getting HUGE compliments from everyone they know or meet on the things I made. You are truly a wonderful person to do all this. Thank you from the bottom of my black gothic heart!

  • That looks super cute :)

  • @Lovemegoofy Thank you!

  • Bello!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Grazie mille!

  • @angelaelmi67 Sei il benvenuto!

  • I learned to do this in elementary school :D Wrap it really tight and thick for a super fluffy pompom! :D

  • @Purly That is a great tip, thank you.

  • you know what! I think what you're doing is just awesome. Because of you I have learned to do so much with yarn and have been inspired to do much more. You let me graduate from making scarves to pretty much anything else I wanted. so, thank you, sincerely.

    Beautiful!

  • @eleanorayoulateagain Thank you!

  • Awesome. Thanks! Now I just have to figure out how big to make the circle and how to attach it!

  • @lilnwfndcheerldr You will sew the ball to the top of the cap. The yarn strand will be hidden between the strands on the ball of yarn.

  • Oh! It's look so really funny,I love it :D

I'll try to do,Thank you so much ^o^

    thank you again! :D

  • @mdaspirin I am glad that you liked it!

  • my sub. teacher was teaching me how to do it anbd showed us the website to go on to tolearn how to make one very cleverrr :)

  • @ManilynLalo She sent you here?

  • @tjw1963 know she showed us how she learned how to make one she gave us directions to learn how to make one but she said it would be easier if my class and i watched this video she told us to look up "How to make yarn pom poms" the whole class was really interested so we wanted to learn how to make one your really good

  • @ManilynLalo That was really nice of your teacher! Please tell her thank you!

  • @tjw1963 next time i see her cuz she was just a sub and i made 3 of these but bigger but even though the one you made was small it was still better than the one i made

  • Thank goodness! I've been looking all over the internet on how to make these. I needed some for a Pennywise costume I'm making and this helps loads! Thanks :)

  • @swimmingbird243 You are welcome!

  • would a bristle brush work instead of a wire brush?? (the bristle brushes for hair)

  • @246810hiie I have tried a bristle brush and they do not work very well.

  • thanks for the tutorial! but how do you knot it at the start?

  • @lucysfilms I just start off like a regular tie, pull tight and then make a knot. You can wrap the yarn around in many different places to make sure it is secure. You will not be able to see the various places where it is wrapped, especially if you brush it out.

  • i did one of those pom poms and gosh how long 2 hours lol also do you have to keep threading the wool till the hole gose

  • @goldieMEGZ I wind a bit, cut the outer edges and tie it shut. I do not fill the hole.

  • @tjw1963 thanx i made 4 yesterday :D

  • Thank you so much i was going to pay 15usd for pom-pom maker ,I know how to make pom-pom but I didn't know how to make it fuzzy... Now i can make extra large fuzzy pom-pom for my beanie.your video helps alot

  • how do you attach the pompom to the hat?

  • @zheleo You just sew it on the top of the cap.

  • @tjw1963 Ok, but how do you sew it? Do you put a needle through it and sort of bind it by using thin thread or do you use the left over string attached and sort of knit it into the hat? Sorry I'm just too unsure.

  • you say "fuzzy" funny, haha

  • Thanks for sharing--I've never seen a video on how to make a fuzzy pom pom using a wire brush, cool

  • Good Video! I am going to make one! One question though: How think does the cardboard with yarn have to be to start cutting?
