  • Next time you feed them a mouse, stun it or kill first. Mice, even young ones, have extremely sharp teeth and can easily injure or kill a STO when they're struggling.

Your mother possum did a good job in killing it quickly but the babies may not be as quick or experienced for awhile. Not worth taking that risk.

  • do you have to feed the mice or can you just feed regular food

  • @ratbreeder1 you don't have to feed mice. A mixture of cat food, ferret food, and insects I found is also very good. Be sure to also feed fruits and veggies.

  • I dont know whether to laugh because they arent cooperating with you or what. I diddnt know they ate live prey :X

  • These things are vicious and soo amusing:) I think I want a family for my 55 gallon aquarium.

  • i never thought the day would come when i saw two oppoasums fight over a dead mouse... lol i love your vidieos! and i have one question, i had a lepered gecko and it was fine it had a 10 gal tant with reptile carpet and crickets with calcium and then she just stopped eating or drinking. her tail got very thin and began to rot and she couldent move her legs. there was a reptile heat pad so it was warm but not to warm. why did she die?

  • @sage4642 thanks for ythe comment. I'm not sure why. How long did you have the leo before it stopped eating? Did you check the temperature?

  • @earthling1984 75ish i had her for a bit less then a year and i got her from a good breeder at an expo

  • @sage46tha 75 was the hottest part of cage? Leopard geckos need higher temp than that.

  • @MrCreaturefeatures STOP WATCHING these vids if you don't agree with what is happening!

  • Comment removed

  • @MrCreaturefeatures mice are feeders. they are bred to be fed to other pets, and my pets enjoy eating them. You have watched MANY of my mice feeding vids, and you just comment the same thing over and over. You can see from my videos that I am not a sick person yelling "Yeah get that f**cking mouse"... etc. I simply like to give my pets the best life I can, and giving them a live mouse is not only nutritoius but it is also a form of activity for them. If you don't like it, STOP watching them

  • do you sell and ship your baby sto's?

  • i found some place in texas to order sto's . do you sell and ship?

  • @juliamc2008 i currently don't, but I might in the future.

  • you should name him bandit

  • do they play dead?

  • @madrocker138 hehe no, they don't. At least I haven't seen any of mine do it yet.

  • I thought possums of all species would get bigger than that

  • GET SOME!

  • That's brutal.. cool animals though.

  • where do you get your stos

  • in your opinion.... whats your coolest pet

  • @kevbot31 reptile = bearded dragon... mammal = STO

  • OW MY EYES

  • @sunsetreptiles they will eat mice in the wild yes. They eat all types of things.

  • Haha awesome, sweet video :)

  • oh..I didnt knew, that opossums eatin mouse.. :(( thought they eat some worms or something like that..

    /me shocked really bad!!!!

  • mamals eating mamaals ?? = Awesome!!

  • @YFZ450Kid09 Why not? Big cats and canines eat other mammals. Actually I was just thinking of the STO as the leopard equivalent. I mean look how big the mouse is compared to the mother opossum!

  • are those STO's expensive cause there pretty cool.

  • @mhoughton2321 they are $100 to $250 for one

  • would u recamend them

  • @redfootman1 yeah, they make really great pets!

  • @earthling1984 thanks cause i saw one for dale and was thinking about getting one

  • It be strange to me to feed rodents to rodents, lol o-o;

  • @HippoKissez STO's are NOT rodents, they are marsupials. I agree they look similar, but they are completely different.

  • @earthling1984 Oh yea I actually forgot that lol, since they have the pouch

  • @HippoKissez actually they are one of the only marsupials without a pouch ;p

  • @HippoKissez odd ;P

  • haha at the one just looking at the tug o war from the wheel lmao

  • Do The STO's Make a mess when eating a mouse?? do they eat the whole thing? Or only part and they leave the rest to rot..... ????

  • @YahooKidz101 they eat the whole thing; bones, fur, skull, teeth, tail, everything.

  • @earthling1984 hmmm How Long Does it usualy take em? To Eat the whole thing?

  • @YahooKidz101 takes a little bit.. Somewhere between 1 and 5 hours, depending how hungry they are and how large the mouse is. I usually throw in mice at night, and by morning there is no sign of the mouse.

  • There is no reason to feed live mammals. Ever.

  • @CHOCOBOizm some have to

  • @BragFlame Have to when it comes to what? When is there a reason to feed a live animal to something that isn't a wild animal? Also if said animal is wild, why would you buy a WC animal. Therefor, no there is no reason.

  • @BragFlame Also please do not try to educate me on reptile keeping or anything of the sort when you have a Whites tree frog on bark chips and a savannah monitor on sand. Just please do not even try.

  • @CHOCOBOizm Actually its part of life for some animals like snakes. Like its part of life for you to eat plants and killed animals

  • @geckoguy422 I understand it is a part of life. If they were wild caught. When animals are captive bred, which are the only animals you should buy in the first place what reason is there to feed live food? There isn't one.

  • I love that lady's reaction. "Ugh!" X-D They remind me of my dogs with toys or bones. They could both have the SAME THING and either one will want what the other has! *rolls eyes*

  • @KawaiiKemonomimi hehe ;)

  • lol, I didn't know they ate mice either or eat live mammals for that matter :D

That one baby possum is a d**k though. lol

  • you got them at the reptile show. were the cheap(sto's)

  • @BragFlame I got most of my STO's from a breeder in another state, shipped in via airlines. I got ONE STO from my local animal expo, and yes, it was a little less expensive than the ones I got from another state, but it wasn't as nice... Needed lots of work.

  • @earthling1984 aren't STO rodents too?

  • @9912699125 no, they are marsupials.

  • @BragFlame i work at a pet store and we have one for sale its a 100+

  • He's just like any growing boy!!

  • @TimmyGal lol

  • whoa. i never knew they ate mice!!!

  • @kevbot31 hehe, yup they sure do :)

  • the baby only wanted what he couldent have

  • @1947Israel I not ignore! I just not been on as much, don't worry, I didn't forget about u :)

  • wow...they really worked that mouse over.,,

  • @RedEaredYBSPainted lol, yeah, they both really wanted it ;p

  • its so weird seeing the sto's eat a mouse

  • @ItzTabbyTime yeah, lol, they do look similar, but STO's are marsupials and mice are rodents :)
