  • name of the jazz song, artist

  • @nagareboshigv Kôji Endô

  • yeah this movie is one of my favorite takashii miike movies its very overlooked

  • one of Miike Sama's most underrated.

  • I wonder what would happen if Rikuo Ishimatsu (the crazy yakuza in this movie) met The Joker?

  • A demon yakuza destroying everything he crosses, this is a crazy ass movie

  • the loneliness of the long distance yakuza runner :D

  • 希望という名のあなたに会うだけ

  • This movie is very cold... I just saw it on Netflix. It's... Truly the most gruesome gangster I've ever seen. Also one of the best!

  • けれど、あたしが大人になった日に

  • I found the scene where he holds off the Japanese police with two pistols even though the Japanese police are heavilly armoured hahahahah.

In the USA, this guy would already be killed by a sniper once he started shooting at the cops.

  • Thats brutal. O.O I LIKE IT

  • Very uncompromising movie. I think I remember that after that scene, he goes celebrating by raping "his" girl. After another, less satisfying event, he releases his negative pressure by, well, also raping "his" girl.

Best scene to me was when he started shooting down the streets at everyone and then throws the gun away and delivers himself, screaming "No ammo left!"

Great, depressing, partly 'funny' movie. Typical Takashi Miike and a great one.

  • I love how it has that grainy 80's look to it.

  • I love these guerrilla extirior shots Miike does. Sometimes i wonder how real pedestrians react to seeing a man covered in blood.

In busy streets in tokyo, you can't get a permit to close down a street.

So they shoot actors walking around, sometimes with hidden cameras or shooting using a long lens.

    Great stuff.

  • HAHAHAHAA HETHROWS THE FUCKING TIE

  • Awesome movie!

anyone knows what kind of jazz this is???? I searched for cool jazz.....but its quite different....

  • Duoform, i think.

  • it sounds like something Miles Davis could have played in the early 60s

  • cool!!

  • I like bizarre surreal and gory flicks (doesnt HAVE to be gory, but i like it artsy)

Ive seen Audition, Dead Or Alive 1,2,3, Gozu, Izo, Happiness Of The Katikuris, Ichi The Killer, Visitor Q, Imprint, Sukiyaki Western Django, One Missed Call.

What should I watch Next? I dont like boring gangster flicks like Sonatine (i know its not miike just giving example) but if it is signiture Miike style i might like more)

  • one of the tamer scenes in the film...

  • Wow, it's crazy how the old man looks more insulted than anything. "You stabbed me? You dick!"

  • lol yeah

  • hey that's the guy from returner!

  • the bit where he walks down the road covered in blood was filmed by a hidden camera infront of an unsuspecting live public. the approach was used by miike in a couple of other films of his. it goes to show how people just dont wanna geyt involved, tho to be honest, id prob react in the same way

  • oh man how embarrassing!

  • the bit where he is walking down the street covered in blood was filmed with a hidden camera infront of a live unsuspecting public. miike took this approach in a couple of his other films. it goes to show just how people dont wanna get involved. no one even looks! tho to be honest, i would probably react in the same way

  • Better than the original.

  • The remake does look good.

  • you should. it's a great rm

  • I've never seen this, I've seen the original though, I never even knew there was a remake
