Shnikies. Could the conductor uncouple the car while moving? Seems like he could have done that and tried to floor it past the tornado...but maybe that would have caused an even bigger mess by making the locomotive lighter and easier for the tornado to blow over. I don't know. Anyone know?

@MrDeadmanwalking44 This is a surveillance camera that automatically starts recording when the locomotive is started up. Nobdy turns it on or off. They use these to investigate incident such as this as well as train vs car scenarios to see just who is fault and/or why it happened and what can be done in the future to prevent similair events. I dont know where you got that info, but it is incorrect. Just letting you know.

@MrDeadmanwalking44 Also, why would the conductor be in the trailing unit. This wasnt a DPU so it was un-manned. This is a trailing unit or "Helper Unit" that trails behind the leading locomotive or behind other locomotives (Depending upon how many locomotives there are on the front of the train). The conductor stays in the lead unit with the engineer now days. There is no caboose where he sits and does paperwork. It aint the 50s anymore lol.
