I generally really enjoyed this movie. It's unfortunate that the contrast of the platforming type sections of the film (such as the initial breakout from the club, and the outdoor assault with the helicopter) have such a low amount of contrast, you lose a ton of detail in what's going on. Your eyes are chasing the scene and never finding what actually happens.

Also, I don't think the bosses voice suits the look very well. It's menacing, but it just doesn't seem to fit for some reason.

I was a little dissapointed with the way that went- I was hoping, because of the description, someone created a fight sequence between an 8bit fighter and a high def boss. But it was just one or the other. Fantastic animation regardless.

A visual style that at first seems fresh but gets distracting, pacing issues (the downgrade parts weren't integrated well at all), characters you don't care about at all... It's a mess. Would've been an original and fresh mess if we hadn't seen already shorts like Pixels and and feature length movies like Scott Pilgrim.
