@jaeknyc So? Same goes for the north, and china, in the philippines they even start at 16 until they are 19. I don't really think there's an actual difference there between all Asian countries. And a conflict in Korea will most likely turn the diplomativ conflict between China & Japan over territory & the Spratly Island conflict into an actual armed conflict. Not to mention the conflict between China & Taiwan. This might very well cause a chain reaction like in WWI & WWII only in Asia.
I hope the koreans go to war. I know lots of people would die. But I, just like you, have a need for this "rush", when something unexpected happens suddenly:
"Tunisian Dictator runs to saudi arabia"
"Mubarak thrown out(even though egypt won't be a true democracy)"
"Bin Laden Dead"
"north korea launches an attack into south korea"
"Gaddafi is killed"
This year has been awesome, This shocking news is like crack for me.
@kuktahamham Yeah, but the results have been awfull. Egypt went from bad to worse. And libya is going from bad to worse. Its the same as with afghanistan. Afghanistan used to have rights for both women and gay, and then we helped them take it from how it was (which was still bad) to worse.
@gulbirk But the US under Bush Sr. gave the Taliban the weapons to fight off the soviets. That was incredibly stupid. Just as stupid as the US supporting Saddam Hussein back then & giving him weapons. But that's just US style, coz they also supported Marcos in the Philippines, Bautista in Cuba, the Shah of Persia, Suharto in Indonesia etc. etc. Actually, the US only supports dictators & make things worse. That's kind of funny, coz they claim to spread democracy.
@GaolisVideoLog Good point. We could spread democracy, I would be all for that. I think the problem is that when the international community (mainly the west) goes into other counties to "help", we sometimes lack good intentions.
Why did the results go from bad to worse? (I hope you don't give me the most absurd answer I often got from every single western who hates what is going on in Tunisia, Egypt and other places just because the people chose WILLINGLY the Islamists to rule them)
@Mrbobab Choose willingly? Well, if by "choose" and "willingly" you mean killing as many people as the opposition as possible, such as what they did in Libya, then yes. In Egypt its obvious by the fact that nothing has improved and there are still protests. I couldnt care less who they elect, as long as its an actuall election. The one in Libya for example, is an example of the exact opposite. You kill the opposition and then vote, its not democratic.
The world bore witness to the fair elections in Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Turkey, Kuwait where all the winners were ISLAMISTS.
You should accept the truth. Most of the Muslims want the Islamists to rule them because they are the best righteous creatures walking on this planet.
@kuktahamham The two Koreas are at war, in 1953 an armistice was signed, this does not mean an end to the state of war. This only means that the two sides have agreed to temporarily stop killing each other.
@kuktahamham Good to see that you like to see people die & suffer. You're underestimating Asia. Those countries are incredibly fragile because they for most parts weren't created by Asians themselves, so a lot of ethnic groups that hate each other live in one country. And almost all countries are victims of neo-imperialism, for large parts US neo-colonies. Asia is huge. Your lifestyle is directly linked to their political stability. Plus Asian nations all invest a lot into military
If north Korea attacks south then it would be a WW3. If north attack USA would help cuz south Korea help during the vietnam war and war in Iraq and afganastan.
@For4TwenTe20 The US won't help. The record of US help in NEA & SEA showed that they won't actually help. This doesn't mean that they might not get dragged into it, but they won't help out of their own motivation. The USA does not really have a history of helping any nation, really. They only deliver pseudo-help.
@TOTCD the u.s wouldnt go to war without backing from the western societies britain and france, and from japan and chine due to japanese support and china due to risk or retaliation
@TOTCD thats my point u.s and france are not capable enough right now for a full scale war they are in more debt, along with japan still recovering from the tsunami all 3 will not be a force ou would expect them to be.
Dont get me wrong i hat n.korea more then anybody else but since china is still furious with america about the taiwan crisis, also china has sworn to protect n.korea just like u.s and s.korea.
@TOTCD dont get me wrong america is ready for a war, the debt you are in ad 1/10 of you a jobless so a war would benefit you along with the new spending cuts will make people angry and agressive and therefore the civilisains like it or not will be eager for a war, however n.korea is a much superior threat to america then middle eastern countries, to go into war america will need the backing of their allies and a lot of time to prepare the wars unlike n.korea are always ready
@GamerGarden Yes Americans are also always ready. They got hundreds of bases all over the world. They control most of the known seas. And can deploy up to 500 K soldiers in less than a month. If they want to go to war they will. And it's not like they'll be alone. S Korea also has a fine army with less manpower ( number of troops ) But more advanced weapons. I would argue that without the Chinese if it were just north vs south. The south koreans would destroy the north koreans.
@TOTCD but thats the whole problem, the chinese will undoubtedly get involved, they n.korea also has iran and cuba as allies, so what america do will be unpredictable. I am not saying america shouldn't got to war with Korea, but as america do they treat it as any other war they usually do it will not be good, also the korean population will giht to the death jus like the case in ww2 with japan, and america cannot nuke them since n.korea will nuke back,
@TOTCD lol one nuke is enough, and most likely n.kore are such cowards they will nuke s.korea before declaring war along with japan.
It will undoubtly spark a world war, and that one thing that is likely to happen, but i dont think either opposing countries are prepared for a war, yet i fee n.korea is more prepared since all and i mena ALL their money goes into war and their population is brainwashed into war and even if we were to win, We still wouldnt conquer n.korea but make it worse.
@TOTCD i agree not enough to destroy a country but severe enough to disable it, if oa nuke was to blow up over u.s.a or more likely japan or s.korea it would scatter nuclear Debra everywhere.
N. Korea's entire population is ready for war just like japan was in ww2 unlike,s.korea and other nations who have better things to do, to invade n.korea will be near enough impossible if you dont completely obliterate them and you cant do this since it would be inhuman.
@GamerGarden Man you make a couple of good points here man.
okay well it's true N korea is ready for war at this moment.
And S korea's whole army isn't fully operational, but that doesn't mean they're not ready for war.
Look at the military exercises they did along with the US to show N korea they mean business.
US has flight carriers if they bring three of them close enough after taking out their defence systems with cruise missiles the war becomes completely different
@TOTCD if any country apart from china was to attack the n.korea they would have to invade and conquer it but that is near enough impossible with using nuclear weapons along with full backing from china. Also n.korea has more military might then s.korea. Also n.korea has some much unkown underground and secret highways into s.korea, they are more prepared then both s.korea and america.
Who would be on china said in a n.korean war? it wont be russia
@TOTCD they had recently discover some of the tunnels due to mining, so obviously their will be more tunnels, even the reporter said the s. Koreans do not know how many else of these tunnels may lie.
America will still not be as prepared as n.korea, i dont think you understand that the whole POPULATION of n.korea are ready for war and have been trained since they were kids because of it, no matter how prepared america is they will still be unable to conquer korea without nukes or chinas backing
@TOTCD they are still brainwashed just like jap[an was in 1945 to hate american s to the death and fight till you die.
Agreed the north koreans do not have advanced enough weapons as the south, but the the north whole plan will be stealth and speed, through various tunnels, passages, hidden military bases etc. They will not warn s.korea of a attack, plus they would get support from both loas, cambodia and vietnam who all generally hate korea.
@TOTCD do you think japan would even think of engaging in any military activity when their economy is a ow as is can get and are spending all their money in recovering from their disaster and creating other another fuel source apart from nuclear?
I doubt japan will engage at this moment unless n.korea declair or give aggressive action towards them or edge their dominance towards the home islands
@TOTCD if that is so then how come japan didnt get involed during the korean or vietnam war?
You may be right that japan will help south korea out, but i still question the will of the japanese when they are in that state.
LOL yor gith to some extent since korth korea really have nothing to trade PUBLICLY but they do trade weapons with iran and probably other american enemies and tyrant african and s.american countries and american enemies.
And china aid nearly covers all of n.koreas spending
@TOTCD you can compare japanese state to what it is now, and also japans constitution prohibits them to wage war on other nations. So i dont know if funding or supplying materials idrectly to aid war would be waging war against them.
I agree about the US needing to support South Korea! When the USA was attacked in 2001, America's allies (i.e. Canada, NATO) joined America in Afghanistan.
actually ROK has alot to gain by making DPRK shoot back at them. have you ever look at their companies and defence budget? both side have something to gain maintaining the illusion that they both need to develop new weapon system.
HEY! I just realized something! why on Earth does the US continue to have that blooded CIA that toppled so many legitimate rulers and some illegal evil dictators throughout history but mostly the CIA has been responsible for a lot of bullshit (see Taliban rise to power)? I mean if you have it and it's suppose to be so powerful why don't you just use the CIA to topple Kim?
@bbphnix because CIA is used to topple legitimate government and replace them with dictator and not the other way around? eg, it can help build the Taliban but it can't remove it. DPRK does not have a communist party, it was banned when USSR installed an the worker party(puppet regime) founded by member outside Korea during WWII.
either way, PRC will not agree to Korean unification without Chinese unification as well. they only join the war after US block their forces to Taiwan.
@bbphnix as much as I support the nationalist, we have to come to term that the reason why the nationalist lost the war is because they were unpopular with the people. the nationalist did not want to fight japan until Zhang Xueliang force them to, for his effort to united his country and keeping the country safe, he was imprisoned by the nationalist in Taiwan after the war. The outcome of the civil war must be decided by the people.
Because the easiest way to topple Kim would be to assassinate him. The problem with that is you'd essentially start a war between the Korea's if you did that because the North would automatically assume it was the South and bang: Robert's your father's brother and you're in a nuclear war.
They have tested several atomic weapons bro. It only takes one for it to be a Nuclear War. Especially considering South Korea has some of the largest population centers on Earth. One atomic bomb in any major South Korean city kills tens of millions and we retaliate (rightfully) by decimating the North.
S Korea would have something to gain from war; justice; the whole Korean peninsula should be one country and more specifically one democratic country;
and since Seoul is the democratic one..... South should 'eat' North;
SKorea had used those islands for years, it was decades later that NK claimed them. SK also did military exercises there for years, why didn't NK complain about it decades before?
And, the US must back SK in a war because it could spread and OUR economy would be devastated.
@hexcane You're an idiot. The USSR wanted communism but the US wanted democracy so they decided to divide it half. After that the US even it's allies pull out it's troops out to let the Koreans govern themselves. The north koreans started a war that invaded and force their ideology in South Korea and would have reunified the Korean peninsula under a communist regime if we didn't step in to help. It's not getting any better if USSR take whole Korea. Beside China is what keeping NK free.
He is the main criminals of this serious crisis as one of S.Korean project team who has watched inside brain of over 30000 victims from S.Korea to enjoy stealing for watching their whole memories especially sexual scenes of women of S.Korean and like 50 member of S.Korean project team related by the company Samsung (Kim Myonghi has the licence of the company Samsung)have murdered considerable victimes from over 30000 victims by sending murder signals.
The US really needs to stop provoking other countries. There's no reason to be conducting training drills so close to the border of NK. The US is just trying to create conflict in Asia in order to justify their presence there and to eventually move in to China.
@yanks325 do you realize that the US isnt involved in these drills? the drrills the US gets into are on the other side of korea also with japan.. stop blaming the US for all the shit that is going on in the workd you are just using it as a cop out its getting sickening
@yanks325 the drills that were US SJ in the yellow sea was scheduled 3 months in advance,, the NK attacked SK when they were on their own drills and the US siad fuck that we arent going to go by your demands.. i know what goes on with this stuff i follow very very very close
@ninjashade411 no i wouldnt i would say i dont care whats going on over there, leave us out of it. i would tell them to deal with there own border problems like we do. south korea is a country proped up by america to fight the spread of communism in the region....ussr lost along time ago, we won, move on
Not a word about China in this segment? The deal breaker and key here is China. North Korea can't exist without China. The only reason China has historically allowed NK to exist was to create a geographical buffer zone between China and the west (SK). However, can anyone see China wanting NK to go to war with or attack SK? Very unlikely. Particularly nowadays. China does a hell of a lot of trade with SK now. It certainly wouldn't be in it's interest for war to break out.
there would be no alternative but to destroy NC cause they are still lookin at fighjting for 100yrs. PPL still don't understand that the "KOREAN WAR" is still "in play" after 40yrs( there has been no treaty or official end to this conflict).
If we get into a war w/ North Korea, dont think N. Koreas gonna be a push over, yeah USA & S. Korea will beat them up, but the Risk of China is there.....
mant people have wondered why USA isnt mentioned in the end times,
I wrote a blog a year ago saying this exact scenario,
also just wanna note, anyone who loses a war to us always ends up w/ great economies (japn/germany, Iraqs will be big, you just watch, so N. Korea will somehow Gain :(
@ncwdane Have you seen the Wikileaks report? It intercepted wires which contained information of Chinese government officials stating that "Korea" would be much better controlled if unified by Seoul. I doubt China would come to N. Korea's aid.
@ncwdane This might have been true in the past, but not any more. China makes a collossal fortune trading with the US ( and other western like-minded countries ) these days. They make absolutely jack-shit out of North Korea. N.Korea to China is like having a little brother who gets into fights and situations that you have to keep bailing him out of. Eventually, you'll get sick of it and allow his ass to get a kicking. N.Korea's kicking is coming.
You have no right to provoke Korea into war by military games outside of north korea.
You have no right to go around the world slaughtering people and provoking conflicts, sponsoring and directing terror, overthrowing governments. Why do yo americans not understand this?
Cenk is 100% right. South Korea is Awesome, and if they go to war, we need to help them. Iraq was such a worthless war, but we need to defend South Korea.
North Korea can't even feed it's own people. It has no money to sustain a war. I was stationed in south korea. Trust me, North koreans government could be replaced within a month. South Korea could wipe them off the map.
@pennjersey83 Have you seen their people though.... they seem to idolise their government, or specifically Kim-Jon Il. They have a land army of 1 million men/women with an additional 8 million reservists.
They have 17,000+ artillery pieces, with a large portion of those within range of SK' economic centre, Seoul.
If the US get involved, nuclear war will ensue if NK know they can't win and if US forces push forward through the DMZ.
@NorthPlum U seem to know a lot of NK capabilities but i think u r underestimating the US war machine. NK is using Vietnam era weaponry and their soldiers r nothing more then cannon fodder. The only military threat the north has to offer is the amount of civi lives it will take with it and the damage it would cause if attacked. Those artillery pieces r the main reason i wouldnt go to war with NK if i was SK. Also NK doesnt have nukes. If it did we would know about it like that invisible cell
@NorthPlum I will concede the point about nukes, for some reason i had the notion that one need missiles to use nukes. Sorry brain fart. As for ur comparison to Afghanistan i am gona have to totally disagree with u. Afghanistan is almost the complete opposite of NK. The Culture, terrain, way of fighting and belief system is totally different. The ppl of NK r totally controlled by the state, while the ppl of Afghanistan see official from the Gov once in a blue moon.
@NorthPlum There for they r able to and do function without Gov. Afghanistan is known as the grave yard of Empires due to its unforgiving terrain while NK although has some aspects of the terrain found there is no where near Afghanistan death traps. Due to the amount of troops and equipment NK wages war in grand scales. while Afghans have been using gorilla warfare for centuries if not longer. But the most important reason they r not comparable is Religion or lack of in NK.
@NorthPlum yes i know they like worship their Dear Leader but it is in no way comparable to the devotion of the Taliban or Muslims in Afghanistan. I will concede that their might be little pockets of resistance here and there but nothing to the amount in Afghanistan. the ppl of NK r starving and no matter how much u get brainwashed if u see ur dear leader fat while u watch ur children starve ur gona be pissed off. Also public executions dont help. BTW Canadian here, wats ur Country?
-Launch a massive air campaign with ROKAF and USAF/USN fighters taking out artillery positions north of Seoul - DPRK is the weakest in the air.
-Begin a ground offensive in an effort to push the border further away from Seoul creating a buffer zone against further attacks. The ground offensive should not consist of US forces as to keep China out of the war. US responsibility should only be ground defense and air campaigns.
-Launch USAF stealth bombers to take out North Korea's nuclear, biological and chemical production facilities as well as cripple North Korea's military bases. Secondary target: Kim Jong Il's palaces!
-Supply South Korean air defense units with long-range SAM's (Patriot, Aster) capable of shooting down ballistic missiles to deploy around Seoul. Also station Aegis cruisers in the Yellow Sea to shoot down incoming ballistic missiles.
@Hairysteed Thing with protecting Seoul, is that ballistic missiles aren't the problem for SK. It is artilierry pieces of which NK possess over 17,000 of which a large portion is directed and within range of Seoul and surrounding cities.
NK has a lot of AAA emplacements protecting their artillery assets. They have artillery pieces scattered all over NK and also possess a high amount of mobile artillery guns.Whatever the case, SK's civilian population is going to take a huge blow.
@NorthPlum True! The NK conventional artillery and MLR around Seoul is the primary concern in the first minutes of the campaign. As for the AAA; just fly high enough plinking artillery positions with GBUs. (problem is, if there are enough JDAMs to take them all out). SAMs are old enough to be jammed and taken out by SEAD aircraft.
Seoul will probably in any case take quite a pounding in the first hour and what's worse - the NK tubes are probably loaded with chemical agents!
For real people. Many countries call US coward for not declaring war. Yet, when US does the same countries complain about it. What do you guys want? Do your country have its own problem and foreign policies? It seem likely and have fun with your own.
You make very valid points. I'm not necessarily saying itll be a cakewalk, but they would have to deal with us, as well as Japan. Hell I feel like Japan would hit them first if they felt threatened enough and Japan has gotten pretty powerful. I think we would win, but it would be much more devastating then both Iraq and Afghanistan. It's definitely something I dont want to see happen.
PROMOTE their company. Also Chinese r call Foreigners to high prices. Plus, steal foreigners stuff to resell it. Oh well and I hate person group related with NK gov with many of NK person. I don't need unification. though NK's ethnic is almostly same with SK. lol Lang is different type of South Korea which is I dun like. also actually Each NK people have 1 millimeter eyes. IMFAO!
Hmm I need to calm down on this. Well, Im... from South Korea. I just harassin bout China gov, wit NK gov both. China gov always supports to NK, ha well... They r same like COMMUNIST. Yea its simply reason 1st to I generally hate china, 2nd is... They didnt know What is SHAME(Infringement or Imitate matters) For instance, that Company used 'Diana' princess from UK to get more Money LOL, that day might be,,, um Diana Princess got accident to be dead, ew that company made a big AD board one to
Well for one thing, South Korea could actually handle a war with North Korea on their own. However, if China gets involved then U.S. support would be necessary. Luckily, in this situation, China's trading with the U.S. and the rest of the sane parts of the world would keep them from getting involved. I would also doubt that the North Korean citizens would be happy if the North Korean government failed. A large portion of North Korea has been brain washed since birth to love Kim Jong ill.
It also pisses me off because we went into Iraq looking for WMD's on a hunch, and yet we knew then for damn sure that NK had WMD's, and were testing them right in our faces
See this is what makes me the most angry about the two senseless wars, because if a legitimate war starts, like the korean war, people are automatically skeptical.
This would be a real conflict and a real tragedy, I really hope most libs would be on the side of confrontation if NK ever reignited the war.
@NorthPlum WHY does America "need" to be South Korea's ally? I can think of no benefit the alliance brings to America. The USA has maintained tens of thousands of troops and supporting infrastructure in South Korea for the last 57 years, at ENORMOUS expense to the American taxpayer. What gain does America get from this? Mexico and Canada don't station troops there. Its a great deal for South Korea but I see no benefit to America at all.
@breezeman199 America needs to defend South Korea, since it signed a treaty in 1951 which states a mutual defence agreement between the countries.
Besides I would hate for the world to sit back and watch South Korea become overrun and being dictated by North Korean's. Reminds you of Hitler and Europe, to what a mess that was.
@NorthPlum So what? So it signed a treaty in 1951. The world was a very different place THEN. Treaties can be abrogated. The USA could say to South Korea in five years the treaty will end. Why should the USA be eternally bound to Korea? If S.K. doesn't want to be "overrun" then it should do more to protect itself. It has TWICE the north's population and FORTY times its GDP. It should EASILY be able to protect itself. Its not America's duty to protect, fight or die for Korea.
@breezeman199 I agree it should be able to defend itself adequately with the purchase of modern arms and the creation of them indigenously also. It should technically protect itself, however it was the US and its allies which created rift between the countries because of communism. Do they not share responsibility in protecting that?
@NorthPlum The division was a consequence of Soviet occupation of the north and unwillingness to allow free elections. The USA was not responsible. In any case the USA bears no responsibility for defending S.K. or any other country. Its only responsibility is to defend itself. S.K. is an needless burden to America militarily and economically. Also note how "ally" S.K. won't even open up its markets to American goods and services. Some "friend". Bring those troops home.
@NorthPlum I think it is rhetoric more then anything else, but regardless it doesn't negate my earlier points. America gains nothing and risks much from its foolish alliance with S.K. It isn't even an "alliance" really. There are no SHARED costs or dangers. Are 28,000 S.K. troops based in Montana to defend America from a Canadian invasion from the north? It is a one-sided "alliance" that is a relic of the cold war and has lost any value it ever had. If it ever did have any value.
@breezeman199 What America gets back is the economic factor. Sure it is shared both ways, however really America is going to be the country benefiting with 70,000 American jobs being supported with a further doubling of U.S. trade exports within a period of 5 years. That is something WORTH fighting for IMHO. I agree with you on the point that SK should be militarily independent in protecting itself though.
@NorthPlum Look at how much trade the USA does with China. It has no military bases there. Conversely the USA could do billions of dollars in trade with Cuba but refuses to do so, even though it maintains a military base there ( on land which it effectively stole from Cuba after the needless Spanish-American war.) There is no connection between having to station troops abroad and trade. The USA has 700-1,000 overseas military bases, an absurdity when you consider its geographical position.
@breezeman199 Having allies is a good thing, The more people you have on your side, the better. Plus America seems to like policing the world. North Korea is a target of American policing, the only way into North Korea on the ground is through South Korea, since I don't think China or Russia would allow US troops on their soil to attack North Korea.
@NorthPlum "Having allies is a good thing". Not really. You are more likely to be drawn into wars and problems that have nothing to do with you. WW1 is a great example. Switzerland and Sweden have no alliances. They have both been at peace for 200 years. Alliances cause entanglements and are unwise. "America likes policing the world". Tell that to the families of the dead American soldiers dragged around the streets naked in Somalia. N.K. is NO threat to America.
I'd really hate to see another war but I'm almost positive that one will break out because of the NK/SK dispute. The thing I'm worried about most however is NK and their nukes; it just sends shivers down my spine to know that millions could be killed by one bomb and it wouldn't surprise me if NK launched one off some day soon.
Fuckin nuke em already, seriously the US could turn north korea into a parking lot faster than you can say DEFCON 1, so why are people so worried, everyone knows north korea would be obliterated and most importantly the US would be fine.
If we nuke North Korean cities (including the ones that boarder with China) the North Koreans will nuke Japan & South Korea and the Chinese (who will lose a large portion of their boarder population) will nuke cities on the west coast of the US.
So if the final endgame your looking for is nuclear genocide on a global scale then yes let's nuke north korea otherwise preventing a war between the two Korea's is the best option available.
Ok 99.9% of the time im a strong liberal, but here i actually agree a war in the near future is the best option. I know this sounds terrible but the situations can not get better, we cant sanction NK nor can we appease them. We have nothing that can stop NK being the way they are. I do not pretend to be an expert on the situation. But as far as i can tell peace talks are getting no where and longer we wait the stronger NK's nuclear capacity will get.
@Hairysteed i didn't mean will but it cold be a strong possibility b/c nk's allies will back them up and then will be invading more places than north korea. but that's just what i think
@xBanox Russia isn't going to join a war over North Korea and China is less reluctant nowadays since her trade with SK overshadows that with NK. Kim Il Sung had more allies in the 50s backing him in the 50s. Did that war escalate into WW3?
@Hairysteed lmao i know russia isn't going to war over north korea, i'm just saying that a bad situation can turn into total hell, Scenario: china backs nk up and calls reparations on all the debt we owe, our country goes bankrupt and can't fund the war, then nk and china over run sk, i didn't know why i said ww3 that's probably highly unlikely xD but bad things can happen
Yay! Not a bad deal for the Middle East, because they YEARN to see US send their soldiers, waste bombs, and flush their money down into some toilet called Korean Peninsula. This deal would be even sweeter if China and Russia make some fireworks ANYWHERE in US. All win for those Afghanis and Iraqis who want revenge.
does anyone remember the South Park episode where all the world leaders decided to blow Sweden off the face of the planet bcuz they wanted to confess their crime to the space police and the rest of the world just kept their mouth shut??
No one thinks it is disputed water other than North Korea. The water is beneath the DMZ, which is even acknowledged by the People's Republic of China and the former Soviet Union. There is one reason why N.Korea is showing this hostility, it is because there is a succession going on soon, and Kim Jong Il need to fake up some military credits for his youngest son. N.Korea's Kim clan don't want war (since they noe UN wont do shit) but they sure dont give a crap about human lives either.
Honestly, North Korea is getting desperate for everything. They're broke, they're hungry and they want power. So they're going to "flaunt" they're power to show their brainwashed citizens their "might". Really though, North Korea would be signing a death certificate if they tried to attack South Korea. They have nothing.
@zknix20 i wish you were right but they have nukes (not many but they got them), they also have the 4th largest standing army in the world as well as the 10th in regards to modern weaponry, in other words, they have nukes, an army and the equipment to make them effective. you can't underestimate them, this might be just for show but if a war does break out it will make Iraq look like a picnic.
@Mortello Read history. US/SK allies. US administered SK while the Soviets administered the North. Would explain more in detail, but much of this information can be found on Wikipedia. More or so to the fact that there is a treaty that was signed called the, 1954 ROK-US Mutual Defense Treaty.- Plus the fact the two countries are allies.
While I don't necessary agree with Hollywood celebrities on political issues. Matt Damon is right on this one, we "cannot" ever give the nuclear code to Sarah Palin even if she did become President one day. Just imagine her, nuking "South Korea" instead of "North Korea" if we ever went to war with the "North". And some Tea-partiers still thought this woman would save America if a war happen, this is just nuts.
President Palin will nuke North Korea AND China. She will DRIVE BOTH EVIL RED COMMIE countries DOWN to 4th world status! America will PWN China and be out of its debt!
Cent, great job but you might have inadvertently bought a little US propaganda. North Korea hasn't provoked anywhere near what you've been led to believe. I think this story illustrates that.
@dardonZ Look at the findings of the Russian investigation of the Cheonan and make up your own mind. Judging the pattern of instigation from the US and South Korea, It appears they want a war more that North Korea does.
i think the people that really know what went on and whats going on isnt going to fall for this. and i thought iran was next. o well i guess its n,korea.
@Erh4bi listen to the guy in the video and every other experts on subject. s. korea has absolutely nothing to win and everything to lose by provoking n. korea. did you know that their stocks like samsung, hyundai, kia, LG all went down right after the news of the shelling? n. korea is completely different creature from iran or iraq. kim jung il can make hitler look like a saint by comparison.

All south Korean males must serve in the military for 2 years at age 18. Fact.
jaeknyc 2 months ago

This year has been awesome, This shocking news is like crack for me.
kuktahamham 2 months ago
@kuktahamham Yeah, but the results have been awfull. Egypt went from bad to worse. And libya is going from bad to worse. Its the same as with afghanistan. Afghanistan used to have rights for both women and gay, and then we helped them take it from how it was (which was still bad) to worse.
gulbirk 2 months ago
@gulbirk But the US under Bush Sr. gave the Taliban the weapons to fight off the soviets. That was incredibly stupid. Just as stupid as the US supporting Saddam Hussein back then & giving him weapons. But that's just US style, coz they also supported Marcos in the Philippines, Bautista in Cuba, the Shah of Persia, Suharto in Indonesia etc. etc. Actually, the US only supports dictators & make things worse. That's kind of funny, coz they claim to spread democracy.
GaolisVideoLog 1 month ago
@GaolisVideoLog Good point. We could spread democracy, I would be all for that. I think the problem is that when the international community (mainly the west) goes into other counties to "help", we sometimes lack good intentions.

"Egypt went from bad to worse."
Why did the results go from bad to worse? (I hope you don't give me the most absurd answer I often got from every single western who hates what is going on in Tunisia, Egypt and other places just because the people chose WILLINGLY the Islamists to rule them)
Mrbobab 5 days ago
@Mrbobab Choose willingly? Well, if by "choose" and "willingly" you mean killing as many people as the opposition as possible, such as what they did in Libya, then yes. In Egypt its obvious by the fact that nothing has improved and there are still protests. I couldnt care less who they elect, as long as its an actuall election. The one in Libya for example, is an example of the exact opposite. You kill the opposition and then vote, its not democratic.

You should accept the truth. Most of the Muslims want the Islamists to rule them because they are the best righteous creatures walking on this planet.

For4TwenTe20 5 months ago
@For4TwenTe20 The US won't help. The record of US help in NEA & SEA showed that they won't actually help. This doesn't mean that they might not get dragged into it, but they won't help out of their own motivation. The USA does not really have a history of helping any nation, really. They only deliver pseudo-help.

If South korea gets attacked.
The US has to go to war.
And they will
TOTCD 7 months ago
@TOTCD why does the u.s have to got to war, wouldnt they look for the backing of u.k and france along with japan and china
GamerGarden 7 months ago
@GamerGarden Can you explain that again.
You weren't very clear
TOTCD 7 months ago
@TOTCD the u.s wouldnt go to war without backing from the western societies britain and france, and from japan and chine due to japanese support and china due to risk or retaliation
GamerGarden 7 months ago
@GamerGarden Well if the US goes to war Japan, UK and France will have to come along.
Unless if they have a very good reason not to.
Such a thing is called a military alliance.
Chinese retaliatioN? didn't stop them during the korean war.
I think the chinese won't butt in because they don't want a nuclear war
TOTCD 7 months ago
@TOTCD thats my point u.s and france are not capable enough right now for a full scale war they are in more debt, along with japan still recovering from the tsunami all 3 will not be a force ou would expect them to be.
Dont get me wrong i hat n.korea more then anybody else but since china is still furious with america about the taiwan crisis, also china has sworn to protect n.korea just like u.s and s.korea.
GamerGarden 7 months ago
@GamerGarden Okay you make very good points.
The US,UK,Japan and France have massive debts.
So a war right now wouldn't really be smart.
But it all depends on the scale of the war.
The first gulf war cost about 68 billion dollars.
Because the US helped out Saudi Arabia. The Saudi's payed half of the costs. If Korea did the same then that problem would be solved
TOTCD 7 months ago
@TOTCD dont get me wrong america is ready for a war, the debt you are in ad 1/10 of you a jobless so a war would benefit you along with the new spending cuts will make people angry and agressive and therefore the civilisains like it or not will be eager for a war, however n.korea is a much superior threat to america then middle eastern countries, to go into war america will need the backing of their allies and a lot of time to prepare the wars unlike n.korea are always ready
GamerGarden 7 months ago
TOTCD 7 months ago
@TOTCD but thats the whole problem, the chinese will undoubtedly get involved, they n.korea also has iran and cuba as allies, so what america do will be unpredictable. I am not saying america shouldn't got to war with Korea, but as america do they treat it as any other war they usually do it will not be good, also the korean population will giht to the death jus like the case in ww2 with japan, and america cannot nuke them since n.korea will nuke back,
GamerGarden 7 months ago
@GamerGarden N korea doesn't have that much nukes.
But first before you continue.
You do realise that there already has been a korean war.
Where the US and allies fought against N korea China and soviet Air Force.
Iran? Iran won't get involved man believe me.
They're next to Iraq and Saudi Arabia isn't far from them.
Israel might get involved if Israel gets involved.
Lol this could actually spark a third world War man hahaha
TOTCD 7 months ago
@TOTCD lol one nuke is enough, and most likely n.kore are such cowards they will nuke s.korea before declaring war along with japan.
It will undoubtly spark a world war, and that one thing that is likely to happen, but i dont think either opposing countries are prepared for a war, yet i fee n.korea is more prepared since all and i mena ALL their money goes into war and their population is brainwashed into war and even if we were to win, We still wouldnt conquer n.korea but make it worse.
GamerGarden 7 months ago
@GamerGarden Not true friend.
One nuke isn't nearly enough to destroy a whole country.
And it also depends of the power of the nuke.
And N korea has more men but S Korea has way more weapons and advanced military technology.
That makes a difference.
And S Korea has 600 K active personnel.
N korea has 1 million. You're making it seem as if N Korea has wayyy more troops which is not true.
If the south conquers the north, the north will be happy since they have the same culture and language.
TOTCD 7 months ago
@TOTCD i agree not enough to destroy a country but severe enough to disable it, if oa nuke was to blow up over u.s.a or more likely japan or s.korea it would scatter nuclear Debra everywhere.
N. Korea's entire population is ready for war just like japan was in ww2 unlike,s.korea and other nations who have better things to do, to invade n.korea will be near enough impossible if you dont completely obliterate them and you cant do this since it would be inhuman.
What military action would you take
GamerGarden 7 months ago
@GamerGarden Man you make a couple of good points here man.
okay well it's true N korea is ready for war at this moment.
And S korea's whole army isn't fully operational, but that doesn't mean they're not ready for war.
Look at the military exercises they did along with the US to show N korea they mean business.
US has flight carriers if they bring three of them close enough after taking out their defence systems with cruise missiles the war becomes completely different
TOTCD 7 months ago
@GamerGarden (part 2) the US can mobilize 300 K troops in one month.
S Korea has 600 K troops. They won't be blown away immediately.
If the north attacks the south they won't be able to take the whole south in a sweeping move
it will give the US enough time to mobolize and invade N korea with a force between 300-500 K
More than enough to crush the N koreans. But the problem again is China if China gets involved like in the 50's it will spark a Thirld world war
TOTCD 7 months ago
@TOTCD if any country apart from china was to attack the n.korea they would have to invade and conquer it but that is near enough impossible with using nuclear weapons along with full backing from china. Also n.korea has more military might then s.korea. Also n.korea has some much unkown underground and secret highways into s.korea, they are more prepared then both s.korea and america.
Who would be on china said in a n.korean war? it wont be russia
GamerGarden 7 months ago
@GamerGarden You lost me on this one. Your claims are baseless.
How do you not know that S Korean officers don't know about the underground tunnels?
What has made you believe that S korea isn't prepared? America is always prepared friend.
They have bases all around the world. CIA has spies in alot of regions. Including korea.
They have a naval base in Japan. They can be firing missiles on koreans in less than 12 hours.
I think that's pretty much prepared
TOTCD 7 months ago
@TOTCD they had recently discover some of the tunnels due to mining, so obviously their will be more tunnels, even the reporter said the s. Koreans do not know how many else of these tunnels may lie.
America will still not be as prepared as n.korea, i dont think you understand that the whole POPULATION of n.korea are ready for war and have been trained since they were kids because of it, no matter how prepared america is they will still be unable to conquer korea without nukes or chinas backing
GamerGarden 7 months ago
@GamerGarden Okay I'll give you the tunnels because I didn't c that docu.
But the N Koreans only have a population of 28 mill some of them children some of them old people.
How trained are they? The N koreans don't have alot of advanced weapons. The S koreans do.
N korea has 1.3 million active personnel, S korea 600 K. N korea cannot take S Korea alone.
S korea's army is more advanced. If you add US support in the analysis N Korea does not stand a chance.
They need China!
TOTCD 7 months ago
@TOTCD they are still brainwashed just like jap[an was in 1945 to hate american s to the death and fight till you die.
Agreed the north koreans do not have advanced enough weapons as the south, but the the north whole plan will be stealth and speed, through various tunnels, passages, hidden military bases etc. They will not warn s.korea of a attack, plus they would get support from both loas, cambodia and vietnam who all generally hate korea.
What makes you say china wont get involved?
GamerGarden 7 months ago
@GamerGarden Well true vietnam, loas, cambodia will help n korea.
But Japan will back up S korea. I really think it will be an even match.
I don't think China wants an all out war with the US.
That would be a disaster. And an end of the world as we know it.
It will without a doubt trigger a third world war.
TOTCD 7 months ago
@TOTCD do you think japan would even think of engaging in any military activity when their economy is a ow as is can get and are spending all their money in recovering from their disaster and creating other another fuel source apart from nuclear?
I doubt japan will engage at this moment unless n.korea declair or give aggressive action towards them or edge their dominance towards the home islands
GamerGarden 7 months ago
@GamerGarden I think they will.
Because if N Korea takes over S korea it will affect the whole region and their economy won't recover regardless.
Japan will help S korea out. And N korea's economy isn't doing that well either. Their number one trade partner is N korea which is ironic. lol
TOTCD 7 months ago
@TOTCD if that is so then how come japan didnt get involed during the korean or vietnam war?
You may be right that japan will help south korea out, but i still question the will of the japanese when they are in that state.
LOL yor gith to some extent since korth korea really have nothing to trade PUBLICLY but they do trade weapons with iran and probably other american enemies and tyrant african and s.american countries and american enemies.
And china aid nearly covers all of n.koreas spending
GamerGarden 7 months ago
@GamerGarden Well the korean war was just after the second WW.
The Japanese army was dissolved in many area's.
And koreans didn't rly like Japanese so getting Japanese soldiers there was quite impossible.
But they did help them out in a way I think I'm not sure. The Vietnam war is a good point man.
I don't really know why they didn't get involved.
But vietnam wouldn't really affect them since they didn't really trade with vietnam during the time.
Things would be different now
TOTCD 7 months ago
@TOTCD you can compare japanese state to what it is now, and also japans constitution prohibits them to wage war on other nations. So i dont know if funding or supplying materials idrectly to aid war would be waging war against them.
GamerGarden 7 months ago
@TOTCD but i don't think US want a war with china either.

I agree about the US needing to support South Korea! When the USA was attacked in 2001, America's allies (i.e. Canada, NATO) joined America in Afghanistan.
BrandonSchleifer 8 months ago
actually ROK has alot to gain by making DPRK shoot back at them. have you ever look at their companies and defence budget? both side have something to gain maintaining the illusion that they both need to develop new weapon system.
akinkhoo 8 months ago
HEY! I just realized something! why on Earth does the US continue to have that blooded CIA that toppled so many legitimate rulers and some illegal evil dictators throughout history but mostly the CIA has been responsible for a lot of bullshit (see Taliban rise to power)? I mean if you have it and it's suppose to be so powerful why don't you just use the CIA to topple Kim?
bbphnix 9 months ago
@bbphnix because CIA is used to topple legitimate government and replace them with dictator and not the other way around? eg, it can help build the Taliban but it can't remove it. DPRK does not have a communist party, it was banned when USSR installed an the worker party(puppet regime) founded by member outside Korea during WWII.
either way, PRC will not agree to Korean unification without Chinese unification as well. they only join the war after US block their forces to Taiwan.
akinkhoo 8 months ago
@akinkhoo the Taiwanese government should e the government of the entire China
bbphnix 8 months ago
@bbphnix as much as I support the nationalist, we have to come to term that the reason why the nationalist lost the war is because they were unpopular with the people. the nationalist did not want to fight japan until Zhang Xueliang force them to, for his effort to united his country and keeping the country safe, he was imprisoned by the nationalist in Taiwan after the war. The outcome of the civil war must be decided by the people.
akinkhoo 8 months ago
@bbphnix
Because the easiest way to topple Kim would be to assassinate him. The problem with that is you'd essentially start a war between the Korea's if you did that because the North would automatically assume it was the South and bang: Robert's your father's brother and you're in a nuclear war.
SSky06 8 months ago
@SSky06 nuclear war? you kidding me? NK's military capabilities of all kinds are rotten; it would fall like cards if attacked
bbphnix 8 months ago
@bbphnix
They have tested several atomic weapons bro. It only takes one for it to be a Nuclear War. Especially considering South Korea has some of the largest population centers on Earth. One atomic bomb in any major South Korean city kills tens of millions and we retaliate (rightfully) by decimating the North.
Nuclear War. It's not a difficult concept.
SSky06 7 months ago
S Korea would have something to gain from war; justice; the whole Korean peninsula should be one country and more specifically one democratic country;

@ncwdane This might have been true in the past, but not any more. China makes a collossal fortune trading with the US ( and other western like-minded countries ) these days. They have 17,000+ artillery pieces, with a large portion of those within range of SK' economic centre, Seoul.
If the US get involved, nuclear war will ensue if NK know they can't win and if US forces push forward through the DMZ.
NorthPlum 1 year ago
@NorthPlum U seem to know a lot of NK capabilities but i think u r underestimating the US war machine. NK is using Vietnam era weaponry and their soldiers r nothing more then cannon fodder. The only military threat the north has to offer is the amount of civi lives it will take with it and the damage it would cause if attacked. Those artillery pieces r the main reason i wouldnt go to war with NK if i was SK. Also NK doesnt have nukes. If it did we would know about it like that invisible cell
bravojonny73 1 year ago
@bravojonny73 Don't underestimate your enemy. Look at Afghanistan. The same could be done in a similar type of symmetrical terrain in North Korea.
North Korea has confirmed and tested nuclear weaponry. They just do not have the capability or missile to carry the nuclear materials. Look it up.
NorthPlum 1 year ago
@NorthPlum I will concede the point about nukes, for some reason i had the notion that one need missiles to use nukes. Sorry brain fart. As for ur comparison to Afghanistan i am gona have to totally disagree with u. Afghanistan is almost the complete opposite of NK. The Culture, terrain, way of fighting and belief system is totally different. The ppl of NK r totally controlled by the state, while the ppl of Afghanistan see official from the Gov once in a blue moon.
bravojonny73 1 year ago
@NorthPlum There for they r able to and do function without Gov. Afghanistan is known as the grave yard of Empires due to its unforgiving terrain while NK although has some aspects of the terrain found there is no where near Afghanistan death traps. Due to the amount of troops and equipment NK wages war in grand scales. while Afghans have been using gorilla warfare for centuries if not longer. But the most important reason they r not comparable is Religion or lack of in NK.
bravojonny73 1 year ago
@NorthPlum yes i know they like worship their Dear Leader but it is in no way comparable to the devotion of the Taliban or Muslims in Afghanistan. I will concede that their might be little pockets of resistance here and there but nothing to the amount in Afghanistan. the ppl of NK r starving and no matter how much u get brainwashed if u see ur dear leader fat while u watch ur children starve ur gona be pissed off. Also public executions dont help. BTW Canadian here, wats ur Country?

Hairysteed 1 year ago

@axv375 do you even know the definition of "world war"?
Hairysteed 1 year ago
Best option for a war against the DPRK:
-Launch a massive air campaign with ROKAF and USAF/USN fighters taking out artillery positions north of Seoul - DPRK is the weakest in the air.
-Begin a ground offensive in an effort to push the border further away from Seoul creating a buffer zone against further attacks. The ground offensive should not consist of US forces as to keep China out of the war. US responsibility should only be ground defense and air campaigns.
Hairysteed 1 year ago
-Launch USAF stealth bombers to take out North Korea's nuclear, biological and chemical production facilities as well as cripple North Korea's military bases. Secondary target: Kim Jong Il's palaces!
-Supply South Korean air defense units with long-range SAM's (Patriot, Aster) capable of shooting down ballistic missiles to deploy around Seoul. Also station Aegis cruisers in the Yellow Sea to shoot down incoming ballistic missiles.
Hairysteed 1 year ago
@Hairysteed Thing with protecting Seoul, is that ballistic missiles aren't the problem for SK. It is artilierry pieces of which NK possess over 17,000 of which a large portion is directed and within range of Seoul and surrounding cities.
NK has a lot of AAA emplacements protecting their artillery assets. They have artillery pieces scattered all over NK and also possess a high amount of mobile artillery guns.Whatever the case, SK's civilian population is going to take a huge blow.
NorthPlum 1 year ago
@NorthPlum True! The NK conventional artillery and MLR around Seoul is the primary concern in the first minutes of the campaign. As for the AAA; just fly high enough plinking artillery positions with GBUs. (problem is, if there are enough JDAMs to take them all out). SAMs are old enough to be jammed and taken out by SEAD aircraft.
Seoul will probably in any case take quite a pounding in the first hour and what's worse - the NK tubes are probably loaded with chemical agents!
Hairysteed 1 year ago
For real people. Many countries call US coward for not declaring war. Yet, when US does the same countries complain about it. What do you guys want? Do your country have its own problem and foreign policies? It seem likely and have fun with your own.

You make very valid points. I'm not necessarily saying itll be a cakewalk, but they would have to deal with us, as well as Japan. Hell I feel like Japan would hit them first if they felt threatened enough and Japan has gotten pretty powerful. I think we would win, but it would be much more devastating then both Iraq and Afghanistan. It's definitely something I dont want to see happen.

Hmm I need to calm down on this. Well, Im... from South Korea. I just harassin bout China gov, wit NK gov both. China gov always supports to NK, ha well... They r same like COMMUNIST. They didnt know What is SHAME(Infringement or Imitate matters) For instance, that Company used 'Diana' princess from UK to get more Money LOL, that day might be,,, um Diana Princess got accident to be dead, ew that company made a big AD board one to
UtuvHasASUCKSQUALITY 1 year ago
Well for one thing, South Korea could actually handle a war with North Korea on their own. However, if China gets involved then U.S. support would be necessary. Luckily, in this situation, China's trading with the U.S. and the rest of the sane parts of the world would keep them from getting involved. I would also doubt that the North Korean citizens would be happy if the North Korean government failed. A large portion of North Korea has been brain washed since birth to love Kim Jong ill.

The bankers who backed the Obama administration is getting their moneys worth. Huge debts for them to get interest from.
And now maybe a world war for them to profit from.
Obama wants to use our tax money to pay off the debt - BS.

America should leave South Korea.
breezeman199 1 year ago
@breezeman199 America wouldn't be much of an ally if it were to leave.
NorthPlum 1 year ago
@NorthPlum WHY does America "need" to be South Korea's ally? I can think of no benefit the alliance brings to America. The USA has maintained tens of thousands of troops and supporting infrastructure in South Korea for the last 57 years, at ENORMOUS expense to the American taxpayer. What gain does America get from this? Mexico and Canada don't station troops there. Its a great deal for South Korea but I see no benefit to America at all.
breezeman199 1 year ago
@breezeman199 America needs to defend South Korea, since it signed a treaty in 1951 which states a mutual defence agreement between the countries.
Besides I would hate for the world to sit back and watch South Korea become overrun and being dictated by North Korean's. Reminds you of Hitler and Europe, to what a mess that was.
NorthPlum 1 year ago
@NorthPlum So what? So it signed a treaty in 1951. The world was a very different place THEN. Treaties can be abrogated. The USA could say to South Korea in five years the treaty will end. Why should the USA be eternally bound to Korea? If S.K. doesn't want to be "overrun" then it should do more to protect itself. It has TWICE the north's population and FORTY times its GDP. It should EASILY be able to protect itself. Its not America's duty to protect, fight or die for Korea.
breezeman199 1 year ago
@breezeman199 I agree it should be able to defend itself adequately with the purchase of modern arms and the creation of them indigenously also. It should technically protect itself, however it was the US and its allies which created rift between the countries because of communism. Do they not share responsibility in protecting that?
NorthPlum 1 year ago
@NorthPlum The division was a consequence of Soviet occupation of the north and unwillingness to allow free elections. The USA was not responsible. In any case the USA bears no responsibility for defending S.K. or any other country. Its only responsibility is to defend itself. S.K. is an needless burden to America militarily and economically. Also note how "ally" S.K. won't even open up its markets to American goods and services. Some "friend". Bring those troops home.
breezeman199 1 year ago
@breezeman199 Type this in Google:
"Obama announces major trade pact with South Korea"
NorthPlum 1 year ago
@NorthPlum I think it is rhetoric more then anything else, but regardless it doesn't negate my earlier points. America gains nothing and risks much from its foolish alliance with S.K. It isn't even an "alliance" really. There are no SHARED costs or dangers. Are 28,000 S.K. troops based in Montana to defend America from a Canadian invasion from the north? It is a one-sided "alliance" that is a relic of the cold war and has lost any value it ever had. If it ever did have any value.
breezeman199 1 year ago
@breezeman199 What America gets back is the economic factor. Sure it is shared both ways, however really America is going to be the country benefiting with 70,000 American jobs being supported with a further doubling of U.S. trade exports within a period of 5 years. That is something WORTH fighting for IMHO. I agree with you on the point that SK should be militarily independent in protecting itself though.
NorthPlum 1 year ago
@NorthPlum Look at how much trade the USA does with China. It has no military bases there. Conversely the USA could do billions of dollars in trade with Cuba but refuses to do so, even though it maintains a military base there ( on land which it effectively stole from Cuba after the needless Spanish-American war.) There is no connection between having to station troops abroad and trade. The USA has 700-1,000 overseas military bases, an absurdity when you consider its geographical position.
breezeman199 1 year ago
@breezeman199 Having allies is a good thing, The more people you have on your side, the better. Plus America seems to like policing the world. North Korea is a target of American policing, the only way into North Korea on the ground is through South Korea, since I don't think China or Russia would allow US troops on their soil to attack North Korea.
NorthPlum 1 year ago
@NorthPlum "Having allies is a good thing". Not really. You are more likely to be drawn into wars and problems that have nothing to do with you. WW1 is a great example. Switzerland and Sweden have no alliances. They have both been at peace for 200 years. Alliances cause entanglements and are unwise. "America likes policing the world". Tell that to the families of the dead American soldiers dragged around the streets naked in Somalia. N.K. is NO threat to America.
breezeman199 1 year ago
I'd really hate to see another war but I'm almost positive that one will break out because of the NK/SK dispute. The thing I'm worried about most however is NK and their nukes; it just sends shivers down my spine to know that millions could be killed by one bomb and it wouldn't surprise me if NK launched one off some day soon.
DontDrinkTH3KoolAid 1 year ago
Fuckin nuke em already, seriously the US could turn north korea into a parking lot faster than you can say DEFCON 1, so why are people so worried, everyone knows north korea would be obliterated and most importantly the US would be fine.
WarThug13 1 year ago
@WarThug13
One small problem with that defective logic.
Metalmeltdown1000 1 year ago
Ok 99.9% of the time im a strong liberal, but here i actually agree a war in the near future is the best option. I know this sounds terrible but the situations can not get better, we cant sanction NK nor can we appease them. We have nothing that can stop NK being the way they are. I do not pretend to be an expert on the situation. But as far as i can tell peace talks are getting no where and longer we wait the stronger NK's nuclear capacity will get.

@xBanox Why the hell do so many people think a war on the Korean peninsula would mean WW3? It didn't even back in the 50's!
Hairysteed 1 year ago
@Hairysteed i didn't mean will but it cold be a strong possibility b/c nk's allies will back them up and then will be invading more places than north korea. but that's just what i think
xBanox 1 year ago
@xBanox Russia isn't going to join a war over North Korea and China is less reluctant nowadays since her trade with SK overshadows that with NK. Kim Il Sung had more allies in the 50s backing him in the 50s. Did that war escalate into WW3?
Hairysteed 1 year ago
@Hairysteed lmao i know russia isn't going to war over north korea, i'm just saying that a bad situation can turn into total hell, Scenario: china backs nk up and calls reparations on all the debt we owe, our country goes bankrupt and can't fund the war, then nk and china over run sk, i didn't know why i said ww3 that's probably highly unlikely xD but bad things can happen

Yay! Not a bad deal for the Middle East, because they YEARN to see US send their soldiers, waste bombs, and flush their money down into some toilet called Korean Peninsula.
Balencian 1 year ago
Honestly, North Korea is getting desperate for everything. They're broke, they're hungry and they want power. So they're going to "flaunt" they're power to show their brainwashed citizens their "might". Really though, North Korea would be signing a death certificate if they tried to attack South Korea. They have nothing.
zknix20 1 year ago
