The saddest part is, I know the description is accurate and that it actually happened. I'm pretty sure that when you sign your employment papers to work in a nursing home you have to give up at least 25 IQ points to go through orientation and then 3 more/ year for the duration of your employment!
"Its 3:47 in the morning, are u trying to tell me you started ur shift at 3:17 in the morning? Im not as stupid as you look."
Apparently you are, 20 minutes ago woulda made it 3:27 in the morning, roughly 3:30. You're a medic and yet cant figure out simple subtraction? Uh oh.
I'm sorry, cunt, I don't understand "stupid bitch". Perhaps if you typed in English, I'd get a brief understanding of what the fuck you are typing about.
@i8246i what r u talking about, was that directed towards me or were you saying something about the video. Make yourself clear next time youre trying to offend someone.
So I picked up a patient yesterday from a nursing home, and the nurse said "Well, he's not my patient." I turned so red in the face from trying not to laugh out loud :-)
I went to nursing home for a transport to a doctor's office. The nurse told the dietician to take the vitals. He took the vitals off a machine. The vitals were low so I questioned him about it. He goes and gets the nurse who does the same thing. I questioned her about the low blood pressure reading. She told me the machine my not be working correctly and asked when I get in the ambulance if I would phone her with the vitals I got. Even though there was a blood pressure cuff there. Pathetic.
This is so classic. I work in the industry and the dialogue is more true to form than one would think. It may be parody, but there is solid basis for the conversation.
The medic isn't good at math. She said she's been there 20 minutes and it's 3:47. She would have come in at 3:27 and not 3:17 as the medic (inaccurately) stated.
He's not my patient; I just started; I'm part-time agency. It's good to see this piss-poor excuses are universal. Are they that stupid that they think we haven't heard that before?
omg i love this video. and it scares me cause I have had this person before. so do they really have this many incomp people in Nursing home for it to be this common. Thanks guys for giving me a great laugh

Just like in Australia, except we only call the fire fighters to lift stuff and hold fluids up!! We become paramedics so fireies have some one to look up to.

"She ate two boxes of powdered donuts and she's taking a nap now."
Must be the charge nurse I took a cell phone picture of who was face down in her MAR book.
Ran one last shift that no one knew why he was going to the ER. 2 aides, 1 charge nurse and no one had a clue. House sup finally showed up and gave report.
I think we should go back to cold-war days and carry a cyanide pill in our wallet in case our kids/family ever try to put us in an ECF!
As a seasoned FF/Medic my doc thought my advanced directives looked like a suicide note. I asked him if HE wants to die or rot in an ECF. "No comment" he said.
My advanced directives for a non-traumatic situation include: no feeding tube - no parenteral feeding - no colostomy - no ETT / Vent / CPAP - no CPR.
You are the BEST!!! These are spot on! keep up the good work. If you got fired over these you should start a legal defense fund and ask for donations. I would gladly kick in a little for the enjoyment I get from the vids.
I went to a nursing home where the guy was in the sitting position. When I rolled the back of the bed downward, he was rigored in the upright sitting position, now that was funny.
We have a Nursing Home in our zone that is exactly the same way.I think everyone that works at this station has gotten several complaints filed againts them from the staff because we basically call them Fucking Idiots to their faces. This is too funny.
OMFG that was hilarious she is stupid I would have pissed my pants if I was the driver for this medic and my friend whos is a medic would have been like that hahah.
This was absolutely hilarious. I was crying it was so funny. And so funny because of how accurate a portrait it paints. I am going to start laughing now every time I enter a nursing home just thinking abou this video.
@brkirk00 you can appreciate this because hospital nurses actually know what the hell they are doing unlike NH nurses whose care borders on literally criminal.
