It doesn't take alot of money to it. I did work for a little bit but most of my funding comes from being a disabled veteran from Iraq. Thats my back bone to all the trips. The initial investment of the equipment will throw you back but the actual trip itself isn't alot. On the CDT I had brought along 2500 with me and by the time I had finished. I still had 1100. Not to bad.
My training for Denali will begin this ski season. Congratulations on the completion of the CDT Joe. Looking forward to our next adventure. We should try to do something back down in the canyon. I'm thinkin of a wild west canyon river trip in a makeshift raft propelled by 2 mountain bikes. Huck finn style. What do you say?
Interesting, do you have a house or do you stay at your folks house when you train? How often do you have to change out your hiking boots?
