Oh, this is ok - but nothing really groundbreaking. Paco, John and Al as well as countless others have pushed this genre much, much further (if you want fast or far-out flamenco playing). I guess what is disappointing is Jessie's "cool" posturing and hey, he starts playing with a playing with a pick at 3:08- and not particularly cleanly either.

And it stands out the most because that is what is popular today, hence Pop. But that is only one aspect of music. Now granted, they aren't as popular as some of those pop acts because most people don't like real music.

Paco de Lucia is a legend, no doubt, but judging from the audience in the auditorium and their reaction, I don't think this guy would qualify as a 'Hack'. LOL

However, this is not flamenco. If you want to hear good flamenco, look up any of the artists I previously listed.

There is no reason to like this guy. He's nowhere near as good as real flamenco guitarists and his songs all sound the same.
