In times of war, McCain would be calling Clark sir. He has way more experience and knows what he's talking about.

Being a General doesn't give you the "right" to call a P.O.W. (something Clark has never been) untested and untried. It doesn't matter what Clark's rank was, his comments were inappropriate.

He never said McCain wasn't a brave soldier. He just said that getting shot down or spending time in a prison camp is not a qualification for being president. If that were the case then there are a bunch of inmates right now in federal prisons who've been there for 30+ years who should be considered for president.

John McCain never stated "that being shot down qualifies me to be president". He never said it. However showing courage for 5 years a P.O.W. is a 'quality' I would like to see in a president. at least a better 'quality' than no experience at all.

Gen. Wesley Clark was shot 4 times in Vietnam. The first time I ever heard about it was only in the last week. Getting shot is not a qualification for any office. John McCain is just looking for sympathy.

Mitchell married her second husband, former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan, in 1997. Her husband, first appointed Chairman in August 1987 by President Ronald Reagan, retired in 2006.

Mitchell was an original recipient of the leak of Valerie Plame's identity led to her being questioned by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the case. Mitchell never appeared before the grand jury in the indictment or in the trial of Lewis Libby, she was on the subpoena list as a person of interest.

We've been fed all kinds of hero crap about him but he served 20 hours in combat, total!

I respect everyones military service but that doesn't make a hero, nor a president. And he had crashed 4 other jets prior to being shot down in combat. The other four he crashed in the states at air shows, training missions, etc..

hmmmm being on the Senate Armed Forces Committee, a senator since 1982, visiting Iraq, being a War Hero himself doesn't count as "experience", what about the surge in troops Iraq, which even Democrats has deemed successful. Being the Senate Armed Force Committee is only legislative oversight of the military.. not control of it. That's not counter terrorism experience.

Being in the senate.. still not 'counter-terrorism experience'

Being a War Hero.. That's questionable, but that doesn't mean you know how to fight terrorist.

Learn to read the entire message before commenting. I didn't say he had 'no' experience.. just none for one purpose.
