Gabriel, I advised you to download a software called inventor from Autodesk and that will increase your chances, it is free for a couple of months, (I am saying this cause this has been my dream also although I was to use a cycled mechanism) for one man, then research on the internet about calculation of the lift force you get per sq area of wings you are using, it must be more than the total weight and load, remember am an Engineer. The wings must have lift angle and take off flaps.

I think that a lot of the people who make sarcastic comments fail to realize that what a succes would mean moraly for the people involved in this project. Sure, the humorous aspects are not lost on me either but things are what they are and I don't see people over here in the west strugle in the same resiliant manner too often :)

Europa var redan då långt mycket längre utvecklat.
Redan under Napoleon fanns det idéer för flygattacker.
De som uppfann och försökte flyga var välbärgade och utbildade.
De studerade flygteknik i flera år och provade massa gånger innan det tillslut gick.
Att en antagligen outbildad och fattig afrikan utan resurser med bara drömmen att flyga misslyckas första gången, är inte så konstigt.

@KTMUSER Jag sade aldrig att han var särskilt smart. Man måste dock beundra hur han faktiskt kämpar för sina drömmar i ett land där vardagen är fylld av hemskheter i form av svält och krig.

@cow777 I am an electrical engineer in the states over 10 years in motion control, born and raised here. I see what the colleges are pumping out these days. I'm not impressed. Between a lousy curriculum set, entitlement mentality it's no wonder we're falling behind. Will this guys plane fly without killing him, doubtful, but he's got heart, and he's trying. Imagine what he could do with the proper mental tools! That's my point.

Afraid this poor man does not have a clue and has just built a death trap there. I do not see how it could get in the air at all but if it did it will crash. No doubt on that.

Look at how many failures NASA had to overcome to produce Apollo 11. Look at the Wright Brothers and see how they overcame their failures.
Just as Americans use to, this guy expects failures so he can improve his design and make his plane fly.
Nowdays Americans look at a single failure as a catastrophe and will just give up waiting for someone else to do it for them.
You have to admire his drive for his dream, a true American attitude and spirt. I hope he makes it!

It’s good to see Africans attempting create their own technology, and compete with the rest of the world… the design of the aircraft is uniquely African, and I hope this will inspire other Blacks from around the world to emulate such feats. Gabriel, I advised you to download a software called inventor from Autodesk and that will increase your chances, it is free for a couple of months, (I am saying this cause this has been my dream also although I was to use a cycled mechanism) for one man, then research on the internet about calculation of the lift force you get per sq area of wings you are using, it must be more than the total weight and load, remember am an Engineer. The wings must have lift angle and take off flaps.
