The bumper isn't welded to the frame so we can't push cars. They're put on because they sit lower than the stock bumpers to stop the truck from driving up and over a car that sits low to the ground in the event of a front end collision. And the mechanics got sick of replacing bumpers for minor accidents too!! lol
yea they actually if needed, are allowed to push other cars out of the way...but the paperwoor is gotta be hell so they usually just let them move on their own
@SoccerBoy77 no they arnt. when running with lights and sirens you are requesting the right of way. not demanding it. you have no legal authority to ram other cars in an attempt to procede through traffic. especially since 9 times out of 10 you are involved in an accident running lights and sirens the blame gets placed on the emergency vehicle driver. just how it goes.
