@bakerandbaker1 there are several stations across the country who have not changed their channel number style/font i.e. WPVI, WSVN, just to name a couple off the top of my head.

FANTASTIC... at 3:35 you have that great old telesound close.. or at least part of it.. if you have the whole thing.. would really enjoy that... keep up the great stuff. i have some as well.. just need to convert from VHS...

That Looks like Keith Olbermann who later went to KTLA and KCBS in LA in the 1990's and then went national.

Yes. Keith had been at the station since the late '70s I believe, but served as lead sports anchor between Don Gillis' retirement and Mike Lynch's arrival.

The music for the Channel 5 "Late News" open from 1973, at 4:04, was also used by TV game show producer Bob Stewart as incidental music for his productions of "Jackpot" [NBC 1973-75] and "Pass the Buck" [CBS 1978].

FYI, the intro @ 4:04 was also used as an opening vamp on the game show "Jackpot" from 1974. If only I knew what the name of it was though.
The tune at 5:15, however, was Syd Dale's 'News Views,' which was also featured on an episode of "Spider-Man." Great finds so far.
