The Q6600 rapes the original Phenoms up to the 9900 series at stock clocks. The G0 stepping revision Q6600's overclock like no other. The later revisions, Intel wised up to the performance and decreased there overclocking thermal abilities. All 4 Cores running at 3.6Ghz will do pretty much anything you ask them to do.

TBO any decent processor does fine, and a good processor will give you stable framerates, what determines a SMOOTH framerate is your graphics card. I had a computer with AMD X4 (2ghz quad core) and a NVIDIA 9400 graphics card, and i could run crysis on med-high settings, but graphics card fan broke and it melted so i got new one with AMD phenom X4 (2.5ghzquad) but it had a nvid 9100, and i couldnt run CoD W@W at all on high settings, (I replaced it with a nvid geforce 9800 GT :D)

Personally I have a Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600@3.2GHz AFTERMARKET AIR COOLING and my brother has a AMD Phenom II 955@3.8GHz STOCK AIR COOLING and i have to say that at the same frequency speed of the processor is much faster in multitasking the AMD Phenom, Probably because of the HyperTransport 3.0 Technology(5.2GT/s). We have the same memory amount and speed and generally all the hardware is the same except of the Mobo-Processor. But i have to say that both Mobos are great and first class.

You need that extra hardware so you can still use it next year and the year after. My HD3850 OC gets well over 800FPS in Doom3 but 30fps in crysis, low and medium setting no AA or vsync, and underpowered i might add. I hate building new systems every few years because light wave or something needs more. Or intel changed sockets again. I'm sticking with AMD, the phenom rips lightwave an CS3 a new one. And the kuma sails through everything, had better luck with consistency in nvidia though.

it actually can,,i run intel dual quad xtreem,i played crysis & cod 5 & cod at the same time,,and my cpu was only at 50%,thats far beter then this amd,,you are at 70% and running gears of war and a video

This was a bit pointless, as you don't even show whether an Intel processor can out perform the AMD. I'm not really sure how you can expect this video to be taken seriously as you haven't even performed a comparison, but only shown that the Phenom can handle these tasks you shown.

Right, I see. However, the title is a bit misleading though, as they seem to be saying that AMD are the ONLY ONES who can do this, and not challenging anyone to a competition type thing. I can't compete, as I've only got a Core2Duo E8400, so, I'll have to leave that to someone else, if someone decides to take up the challenge.

I do not understand, if all of you have an Intel CPU, and this CPU it is better than AMD, what are you doing writting here and wasting your time saying that Intel is better than AMD. The reason I entered this thread, was to see how good the AMD processor is, as I'm building a new system, so was wondering which processor to get in my next system. I have no experience of the Core2Quads, so made it clear in my post that I couldn't challenge you on this. If I do get an Intel Quad Core, I will challenge your video in the future, but will have to see which one I get.
