Actually...I think the character is supposed to be androgynous...they play a pun with the gender identity. The music video is kind of saying that it's really hard for others and the character himself to know what is going on and who the character really is if the gender not overly noticeable. Personally...I think the character is a male. Since Asia is noticing the homosexual/gender crisis more...that may be what they are trying to address through their music video.
