10 floors for hydraulic isnt likely where i live most elevators where i live or other towns close by have traction elevators if there 5 floors or more
How amazing, but those are actually LED bulbs, since they scroll in one direction, rather than from one end of the indicator to the other. Also, on those hidden multi-light floor indicators, I've noticed some of the bulbs have burned out, or were really dim.
one thing that suprised me is that its not led's on some its a plastic peice with holes to look like leds with a regular incandecent bulb for illumination a cheap but cool way to do an indicator
Yes, it's only 150 feet/minute, and it's too bad the EcoSpace doesn't come in 50, 100, and 200 feet/minute speeds, since those are the other alternative hydraulic elevator speeds.
HIGHdraulic!
elevatorsonly 2 years ago
Since it has 7 floors.
CaptainElevator42189 2 years ago
Wow, that's amazing indeed, and thanks.

Okay, I will.

Nice video.

Yes, but DieselDucy calls them HIGHdraulic.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
Actually, a hydraulic for 7 or more floors would be a TALLdraulic
doverelevatorrules 3 years ago
Yes, that was the elevator motor starting up on the other elevator, and it travelled around 2-3 floors.

You Know That Whirling Sound In The Backround Was That The Elevator Machine Starting Up?
FanManLover 3 years ago
My grandma goes here for appointments, so I used to ride in this elevator all the time.
Iamzim9 3 years ago
Yes, but some older hydraulics served 8-9, maybe even 10 floors!
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago

schindlerman96 3 years ago
However, MusicFreakCC recorded a roped hydraulic elevator that he said had 13 floors!
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
im suprised this is a hydraulic having seven floors

Actually, those are LED floor indicators, since LCD's at the time were expensive.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
Wow... a real LCD floor indicator. Haven't seen that yet on a Dover hydraulic elevator.
starbucks95905 3 years ago
Yes, I think this is a nice, quiet elevator, and can hold a lot of people.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
That is a big elevator and I like the quietness of this video usually the elevators are loud and disturbing thanks great video
harrihealey02 3 years ago
Gee whiz, they should have gone with 2 ledges: lower ledge 1-4, and upper ledge 5-7.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
For faster traveling through floors?
seClip9 3 years ago
Yes, and taking up less space.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
they just made the numbers like that so they can have more ledges lol
crapper1 3 years ago
That would be interesting, and I think 300 FPM would be ideal, since it would take 15 seconds in full travel, and would be useful for emergencies.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
I'm saying that luckily there aren't 8 floors and 75 feet of travel.
Baytrail 3 years ago
Yes, but even that type of travel distance is okay enough.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
No no no no no. You don't get the point. I meant luckily there aren't 8 floors and 75 feet of travel with a 150 FPM elevator.
Baytrail 3 years ago
Then it would take 30 seconds to get from the top floor to the lower floor. Also, hydraulic elevators can't serve a high travel distance.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
Now imagine if it was 75 feet with 8 floors and an KONE Ecospace.
Baytrail 3 years ago
Yes, it's only 150 feet/minute, and it's too bad the EcoSpace doesn't come in 50, 100, and 200 feet/minute speeds, since those are the other alternative hydraulic elevator speeds.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
I said "Oops" because Ecospace won't offer any speed improvement.
Baytrail 3 years ago
Yes, but the EcoSpace can do up to 10 floors, while the MonoSpace can do 35 floors at higher speeds.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
Oops. Yes Monospace.
Baytrail 3 years ago
Or maybe the Kone Monospace, Schindler 400A, or the ThyssenKrupp Synergy(recommended).
CaptainElevator42189 4 years ago
EcoSpace, not Monospace. EcoSpace is still traction.
Baytrail 4 years ago
Maybe even 300 feet/minute for 7 floors. So, that can be solved with geared or machine roomless traction.
CaptainElevator42189 4 years ago
Otis Gen2 would be awesome!
Baytrail 4 years ago
I recommend 250 ft/m?
Baytrail 4 years ago
Yes, they could have gone with 200 feet/minute for these elevator, or maybe even traction elevators.
CaptainElevator42189 4 years ago
Slow slow slow.
Baytrail 4 years ago
I think you should keep giving a view of the elevator until 1 or 2 floors before the destination.
Baytrail 4 years ago
kewl
thegrudge58 4 years ago
Interesting; I have never before seen a Dover elevator with a directional arrow on the display.
musicfreakcc 4 years ago
my school has that
g4tech 4 years ago
This is no arrow. However if you type in "Elevator and Pop Machine Hack" then you'll see a Dover with an arrow. The user is g4tech.
Baytrail 4 years ago
I have never seen a hydraulic elevator go that high before.
