If I had to guess, the ACTUAL trailer for the Hobbit will go something like this: The Dwarves are singing their gold hymns, narrative about their mission to recapture their gold, recruit of Bilbo, cut scenes for the lake men being attacked by Smaug, the battle of the 5 armies, and finally end on Biblbo finding the ring. I'm very interested in seeing how dark they make Gollum's cave though. Isn't Bilbo supposed to be crawling along the walls because it's pitch black?

They would realize that the Hobbit is a story within itself, IT HAS NOTHING REALLY TO DO WITH THE RING.. The only thing the ring does, is Help Baggins' to get out of a few sticky situations, and in the End he does Defeat the dragon with help from the ring. BUT that is not the base of the story!

I hope they dont make this centered on the ring, that isnt the story at all... Bilbo just happens to find it, and uses it part of the time. Tolkien wrote the Hobbit first and later the Lord of the Rings, but he used the Hobbit as backstory. But the way this trailer portrays the ring as the center of the story tells me that it might be the center of the story.
I think it is a teaser.I mean who ever made it if not you showed a few clip from Lord of the Rings. It's amazing how C.S Lewis and Tolkin was able to write such amazing stories.

They did a good job on actually MAKING a trailor though. It's clever... maybe not along the storyline, but the ring WAS a part of the Hobbit, and it is an important part, considering it has to attach to the rest of the movies.
i agree with toby099. this person has never read the book. the story is that Bilbo and 13 dwarves. plus Gandalf are taking a journey to the Lonely Mountain to jack the gold back from Smug, big red dragon, who stole it.
I think people forget The Hobbit wasn't really even about the ring, it was mainly about defeating Smaug and the journey to do this with Bilbo and the dwarves.

@calumelliott well not really see the remastard version of the first one was set for 2009 this project wasn't even being made in 2009. it did'nt truly start till 3 months ago. Part 1 will be realest in 2012 part 2 in 2013 this is a fake trailer

@pcfag555 I disagree Iv read the book a few times and this did have some parts close anuf to call its self the hobbit trailer. like the battle, the climbing on the mountain, the dragon did attack the city not once but a nice lot of times so ya it did have some parts which were true.

its not real, they dont even have a director, del toro dropped out, frodo isn't in it, and it doesnt focus on the ring, the ring just happens to be a subplot.

They did a good job on actually MAKING a trailor though. It's clever... maybe not along the storyline, but the ring WAS a part of the Hobbit, and it is an important part, considering it has to attach to the rest of the movies.

i agree with toby099. this person has never read the book. the story is that Bilbo and 13 dwarves. plus Gandalf are taking a journey to the Lonely Mountain to jack the gold back from Smug, big red dragon, who stole it.

I think people forget The Hobbit wasn't really even about the ring, it was mainly about defeating Smaug and the journey to do this with Bilbo and the dwarves.
