This video makes me mad. Me and my dad go to old junk yards and find forgotten beauties. We bring them back to their former glory over months of restoration. We have restored 60 cars to date, and this video shows me that we can;t save them all
And to think..... all these cars were sitting at the dealership bright and shiny and brand new at one time, with an excited customer just waiting to drive it down the road..... I always wonder what happened between that time and what we see now......
i love the old American classics and muscle cars. such a shame and a waste to see them in this state definitely a few great restoration projects in there
wow there's some nice stuff in this video!! however that's definetly a ' Tin Doe' at 1:15 from what I can see.
PS: I'm into traditional kustoms and hot rods but I own a 1951 Packard 400 that's goin' stock and I'm tryin to get a kustom project in my hands. A couple of friends and myself are trying to start a small club in Tucson AZ but it's hard to get 'summer jobs' these days (we're 18).
@JumpinPakFlash hell yeah! me too, I'm down here in Tucson AZ surrounded by a bunch of lawn mowers sporting coffee can mufflers and cell tower faux spoilers. I'm just lucky to have a friend or two that shares my passion for old cars.
not all abandoned cars rust away, check out the video response on this old car that had sat in a field for 32 years, and now is driven daily and making new memories...
Wow, someone should take care of these cars. When I turn 18, im going to find cars like these and make use of them. Either drag them to a scrap yard after all the useable parts are taken off. Or fix'em and make them run again. Memories should'nt be left in the rain to rust and rot.
Majority of people in this country put their parents in a retirement home to die off...you think they will care about cars?? Americans dont appreciate unwanted and old things!
about the roadmaster ?? if so get it no matter if it runs or not. if it dont run give him 600 or 800 for it with the money you are saving on buying it running put in it to make it run you know what im sayin so either way your walking away with a running car 2 grand should be enuff to start out with dont you think
I live in a very wealthy city near Boston, lots of big old houses. There was a house about 2 miles from where I live. In the two driveways was two "1955 packards" A pink & white one on one side and a blue and white one on the other side. It was really creepy. Those two cars sat there, long after they stopped running, just rotting, till about 2006. The house had been on the decline for "years" I always wondered what was the story was on the people who lived there...very "Steven King-ish"
salut ,y like the song ......... the wrecks of cars on our premises (Europe) they leave to recycling. I passed to the USA and it is afflicting to see all these wrecks polluting the landscape, c' is romantic but frankly should do the housework to you ...... but I like you very of same!
Here Here! I just mute the audio! Half the people who comment are more interested in the dopey music and "who does it", "whats it called", than saying something half intelligent about the cars!
the yellow one at :45 looks like an italian amphicar doesn't it? and i love the one at 2:06 with the tree growing through the front, it's kinda sad how long some amazing cars have been left forgotten

drewerz01 2 years ago
I'll guess they were scrapped when the spare parts market wasn't big. But they should be worth something now.
If you take the parts off the old car and scrape off the rust, you should be able to sell it to a classic car restorer.
You wonder why nobody has the sense to do that now.
MondoBeno 2 years ago
i bet half of those cars a part cars ,
25% of them pre resto cars ,
And probly less then 10% pure scrap.
