It's not the same... I will play it because I just love to play DDR, but wtf is with all these new songs that aren't even considered "Dance Songs?" I would have rather had all the japanese pop songs than the crap on here... You would think that there would be ALOT more songs initially, seeing it this is the blue ray age where it is possible to place all the old goodies on the disk itself. All the old challenge/max songs ect. Plus nearly $5 on PSN for every 5 songs? Ridiculously priced...

how the fuck do you unlock songs??? I played club mode for 50 songs and only unlocked like 2 songs....And most of the songs were those shitty slow ass mainstream shit songs that you cant dance too. The slowness and lack of beat would mess me up and id go back to begginer....this game sucks, im just using it to lose weight, 50 songs was 1000 calories haha, i just want new songs

This game is awesome! I own all DDR for US ps1 and ps2, JP ps2, Ultramix series and Universe series as well as some Wii versions and plan to get all of them. If you have a ps3 and love DDR you might as well get this game. It's in HD and has classics to download from previous DDR US ps2 games. In total there's 83 songs including DLC and if you have a wii and love DDR get DDR II which is also an awesome game with hard songs from the X series. Xbox360 universe series has nice house music.

@rickbulldozzer 90% of the CHALLENGE charts are OCTO-MOVE mode. So some of them serve as "beginner" charts to the mode. Like in the DDR X series, some are simple charts to introduce you to shock arrows.

In the European version of this game, the song packs follow the same pattern, not song packs based from European Dancing Stage mixes.

@malicioushero76 This game is only good for the new Konami Original songs. I've since added a video response of the sequel to this game, which is a HELL of a lot better than this game. It is only for the Wii, but it comes with over 80 songs without any DLC and it's heavily skewed towards the arcade games. The new Konami Original songs in DDR I & DDR II make up the newest arcade game DDR X3, but DDR II on the Wii includes many songs from DDR X2, please check it out.

Some of these songs are tolerable. I've been playing DDR for seven years [starting with DDR Extreme] and I fell in love with it instantly. Now DDR has gone down the drain with their licenses and when they had to change Dynamite Rave? God, I almost blew a fuse. Seriously, being a DDR veteran, these new releases disappoint me. It just started going downhill after Supernova 2, whereas Max through Supernova were the best releases [in my opinion].

@ThisIsTexas16 Your English is fine friend. The first 50 songs in the video are songs that come with the game. 20 of them have to be unlocked by playing CLUB MODE. The rest of the songs, you have to download. 3 of them are free, the songs with the "GREATEST HITS" on the song label are paid DLC. "REC" means the particular song can record your performance in-game without the use of any capture card device. Only KONAMI ORIGINAL songs have this feature, you have to use a capture device otherwise.

@AnimaniacZero Yeah that's a problem no? Games such as Dance Central, Just Dance, even Dance Evolution have dance music. The DLC really does help to spice things up. The licensing in this game was just pure fail on Konami's part. DanceDanceRevolution II for the Wii this fall is shaping up to be a solid release. They claim a songlist of 80+ and Replicant D-Action so I assume spiritually, DDR II will be the CS DDR X2 people have been clamoring. Looks like U1 can save CS DDRs, NAOKI sucks now.

@dacespace2 you have to select "Other Clubs" in Club Mode, and you have to fill up the bar that's divided into segments. Once you fill up a segment, you should unlock a new song, if you unlocked New York Evolved, then you've unlocked the rest of them. Every song that has a blue folder with the number 2 on it is DLC. Hope this helps you.

Stupid morons who came to the conclusion that this kind of music is appropriate should be fired from their positions. If you're gonna put a Leona Lewis song, please make it a club remix. @lostsoul601 Yeah the game a product of the Hottest Party line which is substandard to the "main" AC series. Also, revivals are a truly subjective thing indeed, we always want certain songs revived. I honestly think that this is it for the DLC, the game is only 83 songs big which is decent for this day and age. Now this reminds me of IIDX 16 CS, I honestly think Konami should have revived songs that deserved to be revived, but perhaps their leases have expired because of the artists involved.
