  • Whered you git the music???

  • what music is it?

  • Beautiful country

    Beautiful company

    Beautiful Trains

  • That's actually a CSX locomotive at :58. CNW GEs didn't have yellow on the back of their radiators.

  • Awesome video!

  • The only thing that I hate about UP is when they took away the Rio Grande & the GEVOs

  • This would make a great tribute video to Union Pacific!

  • At 0:58 CSX UNIT, Lease more foreign power for the west UP!!!!!!!!!

  • @trainboy94

    CSX & UP WIN

  • 1 persons hit the wrong button.

  • UP Rules

  • Whoever the rail hater is that thumbs downed this, you have NO respect WHATSOEVER for your country! All hail Union Pacific!

  • Work for Conrail...Do my part to move America

  • Excellent!!

  • Union Pacific will and always Build America.

  • Great vid, UP! Keep on Buiding America!

  • Thanks for the video!

  • makes me wana operate a train engine. look at the beautifall landscape

  • This video in high quality would be awesome!

  • Great video! On the 58th second I noticed a CNW locomotive, but I guess that counts as a UP loco anyways. Did anyone else see that radiator?

  • Yes. It was a C44-9H

  • and the loco in front of it was a tunnel motor! the radiator is just visible for a second if you look closely

  • Shot 2 notice the piece of grass blowing in the wind! Nice vid UP.

  • The shot starting at 0:43 was used in History's "Extreme Trains" I do believe.

GREAT video, by the way. 5***** and a favorite!

  • LONG LIVE UNION PACIFIC!!!

  • Awsome video! 5* & Favorited!

  • I love this video. I agree with the person below. Great cinematography!

  • I am a proud UP employee and appreciate all the support and interest in our rich railroad heritage across this great land called the United States.

  • That was great cinematography!

  • I'd love to ride one of those trains across the great state of Wyoming, Utah and into Nevada. I won't illegally train hop, so I guess I am just stuck watching these videos and hiking near the tracks on insulator hunts even though that still is "trespassing".

  • whats an insulator hunt?

    p.s. ron paul '08!

  • Along the old UPRR they had telegraph poles adorned with Mulford & Biddle insulators or EC&Ms (depending where on the line you look). They often fell off and would be buried in the dirt with time. Find one and they are not only cool, but worth some bucks. Note the video at 0:39 and you'll see a telegraph pole with insulators on it. The lines are still live on that one (they are stretched tight). Don't pull those down! :)

I found an old edison battery oil bottle, too. They are common.

  • Cool, I know what you're talking about now. Actually a couple months ago somebody left one in the cab of a locomotive. I should have kept it, but it was really dirty and I didn't know they were worth anything.

    Thanks for the info!

  • Most are worthless, even if they are several decades old. (They were made in huge quantities). However, with the right brand and color... Insulators can be worth thousands of dollars. eBay is loaded with all kinds, most sell for practically nothing. Purple Insulators are desirable!

I wish I could get into a cab of a locomotive running down the track. I have the wrong job. :)

  • A job well done UP, for hauling so much freight on your trains, see you on the employee list in 8 years!!!!!!! I love you guys!!!!!! YELLOW FOR EVER!!!!!!!!

  • I spy a tunnel motor at 0:58

  • there was no tunnel motor at :58 seconds, there is a sd70mac, & AC4400 or Dash 9

  • yesnthere is. Not to argue but if you pause it a :58, there is a UP painted SD40T-2 and a CSX dash-9 or something.

  • O sry there is it looked like a mac unit I apologize

  • that's alright, i though that too the first time, but I was curious, and when back to look again.

  • HLCX SD40T-2. former UP. ;)

  • aren't those traing going a bit too fast?

  • they r put in a faster speed

  • ah ty probably for fitting better to the music^^

  • ya I guess

  • You bet they will, They've been around for a long time. UP Forever.

  • Whats the song used in this video? Just wondering.

  • *applause*

  • Hell Ya!!!!! This is why I went back to school to get my business degree. I hope I can work for U.P. someday.

  • same here I have already taken engineer driving lessons on a A f40 & gp35 + not to mention sd70mac, sd40 (all of them) & AMD 103

  • Damn Right, 844Steamtrain!

  • One of the best Videos I seen featuring the Union Pacific. They are great at promotion. Just look at their commercials! :)

  • Nicely done, though the last shot weirdly tells it takes night and day to cross one simple bridge...

    ;)

  • hells ya!

  • Nice Video Union Pacific keepem comming.

  • Good Video!
