ffor all the people asking about the switch to bypass it so you can watch the dvd while you drive you dont have to buy the on and off switch or buy the brake bypass just find the wire that says bypass most pioneer radios are lime green cut that wire and put it together with the ground wire and it will bypass it self without putting a switch or buying the expensive bypass from pioneer i know about pioneers i have been doing installation for 4 years

that actually doesn't work.

the wire isn't just a ground wire, its a state change wire. meaning that if there is no current on the wire at power on, then you must change from that no current to current. or vise versa.

it's a simple mod. people like YOU make it hard for people

My boyfriend has one and you have to somehow bypass it, you do it with the wires somehow, you need to find somebody that is very good with eletrical stuff:)

ok for all the people asking about the switch to bypass it or getting the expensive bypass from pioneer forget that all you have to do for those who have pioneer decks with the dvd screen find the very long lime green wire coming out of the radio cut it and out it together with the ground wire wich is black and the radio will bypass byitself and you dont have to worry about a dam switch draining the battery

I have mine and whenever I tried to play a movie or adjust pictures this jacked up messege comes "warning, playing movies in the front seat prohivited". I mean this device its to be installed right in front of the front seats, so why in hell it displays this thing?. How did you get your to work? Even if i'm parked with my car off just on opened switch (draining my battery) it will still display it? I want to show it off!! lol

yeah i got one mother fucker is off the chain the lcd screen can be change to like 5 different colors the manual controls below the screen can be change to blue or red

this thing rocks!!.. I have mine p5000 and to me its better than the p4000 'cause its more low prifile, specially with the detachable face. Also with my factory radio couldn't hear even half of what I play with this one in 10volume.. cool shit!!

Hi pal, i´m trying to install the unit but there´s a problem with the power on. This just doesn´t turn on. In the manual says that the reset button can solve this, but it dind´t work. This is my first installation of this unit. I already have the pioneer avh-5900dvd, and it´s works fine. Can you tell me how did you install the unit?. Thanks

yes it does...you have lows,mids,highs and you have 3 different frequency for each and can go up to +12db on each of those...its a really good deck. i have it in my civic with stock pioneer speakers and it sounds insane compared to stock

i got a question i got mine in my car and how come when i put a DVD in there it says cannot show because car in motion or some shit like that when i;m in the parked position then it only plays the music and nothing comes up on the screen. what do i do?

I have the same player and this is made cause u did´t grounded it right. To avoid this problem and allow u to see image even when the car is in movement u will need to get the green cable and ground it instead of plug it into the parking brake. U´ll need to plug a swith on it too so u can change to block or allow images to be shown. It´s working ok on my car. Sorry if I comited any english mistakes, I´m brazilian. If u need any other directions message me.

however, when u opem the p5000 it get in the way of the fans, which blow straight into it and its not good.

pros: bigger screen and can be hidden

cons: gets in the way of other things and if u have a 2 din slot it will look a bit weird when its close and theres gonna be a hole in the boared.

Hey Pioneer AVH-P4000DVD is very nice, my Dad has a P4000DVD in the Car.

P4000DVD is only a 6,1 Zoll (15,5 cm) Display and the P5000DVD is a 7-Zoll(17,8 cm)-Display :D
