Their story was an important one, and they deserved nothing but praise for saving Jews and fighting the Nazi monsters. However the movie was a grave disappointment. Sure it had its entertaining moments, but too sensationalized. Hollywood should just stick to making movies about the American side of the war and nothing else. I'm tired of the distortions of the other sides. Enemy at the Gates, Defiance, U-571 were well made movies. But come on.

These brothers were bandits. The story is a whitewash. The last of the Bielski brothers was charged with stealing an old woman's savings who lived in the same Miami apartment as he did. Google Aaron Bielski for the story of this criminal from a criminal family.

@SuperMollytheCat Bielscy well they didn't do massacre at Naliboki, but they weren't exactly angels too. Peasants from that area used to say about them: "they eat, drunk and raped". Overall they didn't fought too much as they had to take care of their people,in some way, i guess. They strongly relied on soviets support, they had to provide some certaing services in exchange. There are no heroes at war, only people...

Bielscy nie mają nic wspólnego z masakra w Nalibokach, tego dokonał samodzielny oddział partyzancki pod dowództwem Simchy Zorina, przedwojennego komunisty z Mińska. Gwoli ścisłości, sam tak uważałem ale doszukałem sie informacji o tym że jednak nie była to sprawka Bielskich. Owszem, Bielscy razem z sowietami walczyli z naszymi AKowcami. Ale to nie było tak czarnobiałe jak sie może wydawać. O oddziale Bielskich mówiono: "jedli, pili i gwałcili".

Sami zarzekają się, że nie są historykami, a więc ich artykuł nie ma wartosci naukowej(historycznej) z racji niezastosowania metod badawczych. Póki co- bandyci Bielskiego pozostaja bandytami,odpowiedzialnymi za napaśc na Naliboki. I nie nazywaj, prosze, tego gangu "oddziałem". To była tylko banda kryminalistów, kolaborująca z sowietami.

@domarat11111 to nie jest to że ja bronie w jakiś sposób oddziału Bielskich,dlatego też sprzeczać sie nie bedę. Wiadomo że współpracowali z sowiecką partyzantką itd, chodzi o to że akurat tę zbrodnie przypisuje się im też nie majać dowodów na to. IPN prowadzi wciaż śledztwo, para dziennikarzy postanowiła zbadać te sprawę, rozmawiali też z kimś kto mieszkał na tym terenie w tym okresie itd Jeden z autorów artykułu najwidoczniej zebrał dość materiałów żeby nawet wydać książkę, więc coś w tym jest.

Real heroes for me are people from ŻEGOTA for example, who didn't save just 1000 jews for a price of colaboration with soviets, but they saved TENS OF THOUSANDS jews during war and occupation.

Love this film. Daniel Craig portrayed Tuvia very well. The Bielski brothers are all heros!! I am glad that their story has finally been told.
