Krav Maga defense for bear hug from behind arms caught

krav maga is more like common sense. the only reason y ppl r so amazed is because of their ignorance in martial arts in general. if ur the type of person who has been training in a martial art like karate for example and u think thats reality, then u got problems.

krav maga is pretty much prescool for ppl like Paul Vunak or Dan Inosanto. yeah i recommend u research these names i just listed.

To everyone that don't understand the point of Krav Maga:

It is NOT a martial art, it is not about two equal foes pitting it together and one emerging victorious. It is about self defense, it is about defending yourself when someone comes after you with a knife, it is for getting away when you get jumped by three thugs. It is supposed to be used in lifethreathening situations.

The point of krav maga is not to fight according to the rules, it is to end a fight, or dispatch a threath ASAP.

@thepeanutlord You are correct. The problem is Krav Maga does not end a fight quickly how many strikes did he do in this vid? about 10 or so yeah its good if you land all of them. But In a real attack you should finish him in1 to 2 hits. This way you can focus on any other attackers . By the time you do those 10 hits you got hit by the other guy.

oh wait, yes there is . its called the law. all krav maga demonstrations have a go for the groin, smash the nose break the neck attitude. but there's no lesser ways of doing harm ever demonstrated. that might make you feel comfortable in the "street" but it wont make you feel comfortable when the judge sends you to jail for excessive use of force

@Jenfucius yes, the defense is to wrap your leg around the attackers leg to prevent being lifted and slammed on the ground

For anyone watching and saying this doesnt happen often It does its a set up to get lifted and tossed on the ground with a beautiful face stomp to follow. Ive seen it and the most weird part is it was at the Sherman Oaks Galleria (right down the street from this studio) just another reason to be aware of your surroundings.
