that was the best looking body kit available for the mr2. used to have a 1993 model. nice and clean. cleand up the engine ducts.

@adventurehamr all u have to do is get a nice sexy wheel, aero ware front lip and clear sinal lense and that it. is look so clean like that..the other are yeah some what, but do not like that of a baggy pant type that cannot fun fast and try to drag the sagging with wind blowing and slowing you down. mind as well get a nice shade and a clean hair cut! The cleanest mr2 turbo!!!!!

MR2 turbos from 1990 to 1995 are the 3s-gte engine, the N/A are 5S-FE, i have a 92mr2 turbo w/ 3sgte, one of the best engines ever made.

And they're the same engine in the celica to, though I'm not sure which year model :/

I'm guessing the 93 style coupe, could be wrong though. Makes sense, as both were similar-ish looking cars.

I think your talking about the St184 celicas. They had the 5SFE. My friend had a non turbo 91' MR2 and it had the 3sge engine.

in the US they were 5sfe....i think they might have been a different motor elsewhere...ive got a 1988 ST165 Celica All-Trac myself, the 3s-gte is a beauty of a motor.

No.. I'll try to explain..

89/93: 3SGE - 2.0 16v = NA - 156 bhp

94/98: 3SGE - 2.0 16v = NA - 175 bhp

99/00: 3SGE - 2.0 16v Beams = NA - 200bhp

89/91: 3SGTE - 2.0 16v = 205 bhp US Models (Gen1)

92/94: 3SGTE - 2.0 16v = 225 bhp JDM (Gen2)

95/97: 3SGTE - 2.0 16v = 245 bhp JDM (Gen3)

98 - ..? - 3SGTE - 2.0 16v = 265 bhp JDM (Gen4)

The Gen4's are never delivered in the mr2, these are caldina engines.

I researched again, you are right. Gen1 engines were only available in de celica gt4.

MR2's have only the gen2 and the gen3.
