Hey my friend ended up dqued too lmao I guess my post earlier was right the winners are not the best film makers they are the ones that did not get dqued. Hence that mirror mirror pos I gave an awful critique to made it. Unbelievable. I was rooting for yours and my friends and like 3 others. None of them made it in. Such bs. Well if film makers made films only to win competitions there would be a lot less films in the world lol. Good job. Look forward to seeing more of you work in the future.

Oh sorry. Honest mistake. Didn't realize you had more than one up. Yeah a friend of mine entered and he is worried about being dqued for sexual content and an actor curses once too lmao. I didn't realize they were so harsh with rules. Totally takes the fun out of it. Maybe thats why such crappy ones won last year. They were the only ones not dqued lmao. Well good luck too you. I have to give your props man. Way to go. The way you called out that girl who made Mirror Mirror, right on. After learning about the wealthy parents and the connection to studio pros, i have to say. That it is defintly not within the spirit of sundance and i sincerely hope the judges review it but everything else is beyond our power aye? Anyways, ive seen ur film a few times now and you did an amazing job on it. I would pick ur film over hers anyday. Keep it up.

Hey and i really liked your film as well, it was actually really refreshing and original. what kind of camera did you use because it looks like it can handle low light extremely well.

the camera i used was shit lol. Wouldent recomend it, its jus ur average JVC HD consumer camera. The horrible thing about it is the fact it has little to no mac support, i had to convert the HD files into something useable which was a slightly worse then DV quality .mov file. But basically wat we did was we used alot of light in the shots, then de-saturated and upped the contrast to achieve the look :P. Thnx for the feedback, so far i dunt think anyones got any news about top 20 selections. :-S

Howdy Peter, I liked your film. Beautiful shots and well written. I noticed your comments on the Mirror Mirror jesus commercial. I thought you'd like to know that the girl who made that is 18. That is her first film and her extremely wealthy parents paid longtime industry pro's to make it for her. She just stamped her name on it. If you notice there's someone credited as the "technical director" WTF? Doesn't seem right to me. Not in the spirit of Sundance or the competition in general.

Hey Thanks! I used a Sony HDR-FX7, it really came down to the color correction and lighting though, not the camera. great job on your entry, it was funny as hell
